Ok, just to clarify, you are asking about price and shipping on just the fairing stay and gauges? Before you had asked about the fairings as well.

As far as the engine goes the cylinder head coolant domes are the high point- for what it is worth Yamaha tells you to open the small drain bolts in the front bottom of the cylinder block until coolant weeps out there... I was mentioning the bleed nipples on other bikes as reference to factories being aware of this problem and the need to completely purge air and fill the system with coolant. The highpoint in the cooling system on a FZR1k is...

QUOTE (771Doug @ Nov 20 2009, 06:23 AM) The fan was one of the first things I chucked. Even in 100 degree weather, the temp gauge has never gone past half way. I am using the 600 radiator, though. Running water or coolant? I will be running coolant

these bikes dont have any air bleeds cus the thermostat is the highest point, id verify the that the water pump is working, as soon as the bike starts keep squeezing the coolant hoses to see if if it building pressure if it stays spongy un till the bike is hot that points to the pump not working since u have a new cap if it instantly gets hard that points to corrosion/blockage, if that happens take the radiator off and hook a garden hose up...

85 fz750 help!
Published (2009-11-25 05:38:00)
I had the same problem with my FZ! I'd be out riding and go to stop somewhere and come back to it and nothing! I hated that bike. One day, I think Ireplaced the battery and didn't have a problem with it again until I crashed it and stopped riding the thing. I suspect a bad wiring harness though.

Well maybe a couple of 1/4 mile passes now and then but not all the time. I was just wondering what a good combination is front and rear to get a good traction patch and get some nice non radical ...

C) should start in neutral regardless of switch D (& E)) Get a $10 test meter to verify if good. B, E-I) Just try push-starting it. Have a little starting fluid on hand to help, assuming the motor spins. These items should not take years or extensive manuals to figure out. I'm not trying to be mean, but if you're having problems testing a switch and button, ask a buddy who knows a ...

Take the LH hose off the water pump where it goes into the bottom of the radiator and start the enginoe- see if the water pump's impeller is turning. Assuming you get some pump action, then I'd say you could have high anount of calcification in the radiator core and/or cylinder head- perhaps a previous owner used hard (mineral) water in the ethylene glycol mix? Good luck Brittus

Tried a yamaha dealer yet? I've had good luck with being able to just trade shims with dealers. They do like to have a good selection, so they are usually willing to trade if you have sizes they don't.
