FS: Desert Eagle .357 Mag...
Published (2009-11-24 22:11:57)
To clarify the 38 and 357 point. It will not function with 38's, they are too light. It needs full power 357's to cycle. I was simple comparing the "feel" of shooting 357's in that they feel like 38's compared to shooting a 357 in a revolver. So what do you think it's worth? I've looked online and the only ones under $1000 are either beaten up or plain black models. This one is Like New with Box,...

Wood Grips, help locating
Published (2009-11-25 00:42:09)
As I recall, when buying the wood grips the guns had to be sent back to Magnum Research to fit the grips. There they would drill, and tap the frames for grip screws..

I tried my .44 magnum barrel out a couple of years ago against a 6 inch Ruger Blackhawk .44 mag. The results did not make the revolver owner happy. 240 grain jhp loaded with 24 grains H2400 gave a five shot spread in mine of 1332 fps to 1351 fps. In the Ruger, it was 1230 to a high 1264. We also tested a 300 grain hollow point. 3 rounds of 300 grain with 20 grains of H2400 produced a spread of 1120 to 1145 in mine. 3 rounds of 300 grain with...

MJ, That is a discussion I have read some on and was wondering at times, regarding rifle primers in a pistol. Most I have read is the pocket does not fit them
well in the cartridge and they protrude some and might foul the action... Others say they are to hard, don't dent well when the pin hits them.
The 350 CCI would be my thought for your pistol shooting, that is the Magnum dudes, what I ...

The only projection sight I've found that will withstand the recoil of the DE is the Hakko Panorama MKIII. It's kinda spendy, but the cheap ones just
self destruct from the recoil.
I've also used it on my Bushmaster C15 Type 97 Pistol, and it withstood that sharp recoil too. It currently is mounted on the . 50AE DEP. Here are the #2
reticles that it comes with:...

Nice older shooter. You might want to try listing it on Gunbroker.
Put a minimum you will take and see how it goes. Priced high I believe.

I have used a variety of solvents depending on application needed. From straight diesel, to what you mention...I have a bottle of Hoppe's, semi auto, right
now, is going to be used soon...The one thing, I think is really important with the DE is proper lube...Glocks don't need as much though...
