I would say that beating Hatton at 147 didnt prove a lot about Pac at 147 BUT Hatton was far from damaged goods after one competetive loss to PBF and was still a damn good fighter and possibly if not probably the best 140 pounder on the planet. Not to mention he was absolutely anhilated by Pac. So dont misconstrue when I say that Pac beating him doesnt mean a whole lot at 147. Its damn impressive when one considers the fact that Pac was...

I wonder who rates the movies shown on TV? I'm not talking about the age-appropriateness of a flick (G, PG, PG-14, and like that) but the "critical" ratings that are included with the program descriptions on cable/satellite services? I have Dish Network, and last night, after decompressing following the HBO card, I was settling into bed and scanning the stations for anything to record while I wasted six hours snoring,...

The great thing I found about jazz (and Not that smooth jazz crap), but real hard bop is that is not for all, or most. The point is, that not everyone is going to get it. The artists knew this when they created the music. It is not suspose to be understood by the casual listener. It is in a sense the truest art form, a Study of sounds. That TKO 11 or anybody does not like jazz is not saying anything new or bad. It is the nature of the music...

Haye-Valuev instead of Vitaly -...
Published (2009-11-08 09:44:00)
I felt Haye fought a smart if not entertaining fight. He is by nature an eggressive fighter so I was somewhat impressed he kept to his gameplan which must have gone somewhat against his instincts. I agree he should have thrown a few more power shots but he claimed post fight that he hurt his right hand in the second(?) round. If this is true it would explain his low punch rate. The guy fought with his head and not his heart, greater fighters...

Polarized likes and dislikes
I thought it would be fun to start a thread on some of the many things in life, for the most part, that people either love or hate.
I'll start the ball rolling with two.
1) Those who love liver and those who hate it.
2) Those who love the song "MacArthur Park" and those who hate it.
For the ...

Riddick Bowe vs. David Tua
I am not sure if this fight has ever came up or not, but what about Riddick Bowe vs. David Tua? The more that I look at these 2 the more they seem to have in common. Both Bowe and Tua could punch, both had good chins, both were often not in top shape, and both kind of underachieved. Tua beat Oleg Maskaev, John ...

Lets also rember Rocky Marciano was learning on the job in his first 16 or so fights, Foreman had a gold medel and had a better start than Marciano had.
Marciano does not just have Walcott.
He also smash Rex Layne with one punch, and he drop Harry Kid Matthews for the full count.
Also there are many storys of Rocky Marciano scoreing 1 punch kos in his early bouts. Regardless what ...

Cotto bring nothing new to Pacquaio but size which equals lack of speed. I have never seen Pacquiao in trouble and he has been in with hitters.
Pacquaio will be peppering him with those hard rights and lefts and blinding speed.
The whole thing is over in 8. I see a similar fight to Pac DLH.

Okay, can we now say after two pissant pullouts that bigmouth Haye simply soiled his underwear at the thought of mixing with either of the Bros -- or will such an observation reflexively draw more cries of " Klitschko faggot!"? PeteLeo.
PS. I don't think Bigmouth has the stuff to beat Valuev, either. PL.
