everyone knows a swede should be able to do one ragged hole at 600 yards in high winds without optics, if all it will do is 3 7/8" groups at 100yds you might as well just give it to me for proper disposal

Doesn't seem to be a lot of meat left after it's cut for threading and re-chambering although I haven't researched the diameters. The Mosin barrel was only $25. I don't have a problem turning a new contour. I will keep an eye on it though! Thanks DJ!

Hussein wanted the world and especially the Iranians to fear him. He was so successful he convinced his enemies to come in and destroy him, even killing him and his insane murdering sons..... Cork You got that right. Some backgound here is: (1) The Iranians acted covertly to convince the US that Saddam had a lot of weapons that were not actually there. They had agents in Iraq report them to the US. The US took the bait often, but finally...

He has the facts straight. Has gold gone up or the USD gone down? Over the long term is my question. Can see physical gold (and silver) was the place to be over US equities the past 5+ years. Or stated another way when adjusted for inflation is Gold at it's all time high? The answer to this is why politician's love paper money, creates confusion, provides no limits on their scheme's and can give a false feeling of wealth the...

Thanks. I loaded some at 28 grains to plink with. Speer calls it a reduced
load, and it is a pleasure to shoot in those heavy military spec rifles.

DrGonzo11:
Welcome to the forum! And thanks for sharing the nice pictures.
The 7.90 is the bore diameter. Most German or German occupation manufactured military arms had this (ranging from 7.88 thru 7.92 maybe 7.93, I'd have to
check) up until the early 40's.
As far as the other markings I am not sure. Hopefully someone will come along and have something to add.

My book shows that with the C prefix in that same range the gun would be
1932.

The progress made in under a year of Democratic party total control and 3 years of congressional control is amazing. Inspires hope and confidence in the
Republic again.
The WAR is now boring, just a side show..time to pull out. Let the GITMO political prisoners go. If needed we can self nuclear attack one of our port or larger
cities to show repentance. Plus this avoids the need for ...

Some cut-downs have a flattened muzzle that does not have the rounded contour of the originals. Also if the barrel was cut down the examination of how the
front sight was installed is usually the key. The originals were expertly done, while cut-downs look like they were done in the garage. Carbines also had the
rear sight marked with a 'C'.

"Best" is subjective. It is often a balance between quality and cost. I tend to use J&G Sales, AIM Surplus, Classic Arms, and Southern Ohio Guns
myself. Though I keep my C&R on file with most vendors and also some accessories vendors for the FFL discounts (Brownells, Grafs and Midway) Just my two
cents anyway.

Thoughts on this venture?
At least you won't have to alter the bolt face.
What would be a good donor barrel?
Semi-auto barrels have un wanted gas ports so you most likely will have to use a new barrel.

Velvet, tell him that is a nice Deer and to enjoy. IL. does firearm season
(shotgun, black powder, and revolver only) on 3 seperate weekends. This was
the 1st weekend, got nothing. Oh well, got to be out in nature at the farm
if nothing else. Saw lots of fawns, but it was like all the larger deer
knew what weekend it was.

I HIGHLY recommend you purchase the English Language book, The French 1935 Pistol, A concise history; Eugene Medlin and Colin Doane; Excalibur Publications;
1995 edition as this covers everything and anything regarding these pistols. It would take me forever to post all the information on these pistols.
Here is a good link to some iformation on these pistols .... http://armesfrancaises.free.fr/...
