It sounds like Nike wanted the tape removed. I dont know, I really doubt Lebron was trying to hard anyway, so I dont see why it would be a big dea.

Wow, up to this point the season had been pretty meh, but that 2 hour event was probably one of the better episodes in a long while. Can't wait to see what happens next week.

=-O I say again...=-O. Kathryn Bigelow absolutely knows how to make a film and she's crafted by far the best Iraq war film out there. Jeremy Renner is flawless as Sgt. James and Anthony Mackie is subtly tremendous as Sanborn. It's tense and sets itself up well with it's opening fiasco. Words can't describe how great this film is, just see it. I liked it over Public Enemies, Watchmen, Up...

Moon (7/6/2009) The very first science fiction movie was Georges Méliès’ 1902 classic A Trip to the Moon . A fourteen minute epic in which a group of explorers go to the moon, walk onto the surface (no space suit needed), find a group of moon men, beat them off with umbrellas, then return home. The film is probably best known for a moment in which their ship crashes into the man on ...

It was worse than TWILIGHT. I'm leaving it at that. Only making the thread to warn people not to see it. 0/10 because I can't go lower.

Why not? The 80's had some of the best comedies, action, fantasy, sci-fi, etc. So, YOU get to choose your favorite 80's movies you'd like to see in the battle. If someone posted a movie you like, its ok to repost, just shows supply and demand I'll let the postings go on for a few days or so, then get the matches together. so I'll start with some Pee Wee's Big ...

I've had Netflix 3 different times over the course of the last 7 years. I get my DVDs within 2 days, and their selection is far superior to Blockbuster. In terms of conveniences, while I like browsing the video store, I know how Blockbuster allows returns by mail and in-store, and I have one LITERALLY across the street from me, I still always go back to Netflix. This current 6-month run is ...

Alright, so like I said a few weeks ago, I was planning on doing this tournament. All 81 of the winners will take part in it, instead of me just choosing 64. Since it is an odd number, we will have a few 3-way battles in the first few rounds. Towards the end, 6 movies will remain. Those 6 will be in two 3-way battles to set up the Final Four. Hopefully everyone will enjoy. First battle up in a ...

Clerks. And Clerks 2. I've been on a downloading frenzy and, recently [within the past 2 weeks], have watched The Howling, Clerks, Defiance, Clerks 2, Run Lola Run, the Wackness, Hatchet [TERRIBLE], Club Dread [very underrated horror film], Casino, Goodfellas, Saw 3-5 [liked them all, 3 was the weakest for me], Hostel, Owning Mahoney [dammit Hoffman is SUPERB, isn't he?], Charlie Wilson's War...

Caught this last night at a midnight show in the UK. Im still feeling shell shocked so a full review will come later. What can I say, the film is huge, it batters your senses by the sheer visual and audial spectacle that Bay has put together. This however is where in my opinion the problems lie. Its just too much! I wanted awesome Robot carnage and that's what I got but once again ...

Michael Mann knows my buttons. I like his aesthetic, I like his approach to action, I like the projects he picks. And even his mediocre efforts like Miami Vice have their own little gems of machismo hidden in them (trailer park scene). Public Enemies is nowhere near the disappointment that film was, but it has its sights set lower than they should be. It is a conventional genre film, through ...

James Cameron's monumental sci-fi epic AVATAR is coming next year... no, wait! Not until May 2009? Gah! So I guess this really is an early glimpse of the flick's alien species (assuming it's actual concept art, as it was presented), which means we have a long time to wait for verification. The movie follows a war veteran dispatched to a distant world, where he and others clash ...

Alright, time for a new battle thread. Here's the premise: You are given a choice of two DVDs, but you are only allowed to watch one. Which do you choose? Your reason for choosing can be whatever you want. This battle thread will consist of a movie region as well as a region for TV shows on DVD. The two will eventually be incorporated in together. Enjoy! Round 1 Battle 1...

What was Lex Luthor in the movies anyway? Was he a real estate agent gone bad? Also, in a way, I actually view SR as Superman V. I've found that the movie could actually take place after Superman IV. __________________ I rule where the losers roam.

I figured I'd give another battle a shot. This time to figure out which album CS! thinks is the best ever. Please nominate your choices. I will put together a bracket and then I'll get this thing started.
