It reliably starts every time, and despite the vibrations and road bumps I've had no problems. Of course this means my light will not fire when I ride home in the dark tonight.

A friend ( acquaintance actually) has one. It's a pretty sweet ride. Big issues I have noticed/heard is that it doesn't seem to be as reliable as the F bikes, and needs more frequent regular maintenance as well. IIRC I think you need to do service with valves etc. every 5000km (3000mi) as opposed to 10000km on the F. Course if it's an enduro machine for mainly off-road use, and you're not ...

Disconnect the battery for a while. This will "reset" the gauges. Also, make sure the fuse for the gauges hasn't blown. Then be certain to have nice, clean and tight connections at the battery terminals. Once the bike is back to normal, ride to the nearest parts store and buy a sealed battery to replace your dead or nearly dead stock battery. ETX15L from Autozone worked well for me.

Sssssshhhhheeeeeaaaaattttt!!!! I won't be there, but I will be pissed about missing the show. But make sure you don't pay for parking, allow yourself an hour to walk through all the bikes that will be there in the parking lot. That's almost worth the price of admission just to see what was rode in. See if BMW of SF has cheap tickets for the show. SP and Yeti won't sleep for three days ...

OK, first off I can't say that I've ever closely examined the behavior of said part -- but hey, it makes sense that a rubber part subject to regular pulses of suction from one end (intake port), with a closed throttle butterfly restricting airflow on the other end, would momentarily deform under vacuum. I think that as the rubber ages/hardens, you might actually see less of this behavior. In fact...

Cee Bailey's windshield cleaning fluid. http://www.ceebaileys.com/cleaner_prods.html I use it occasionally on my windscreen and often on my helmet visor and am always amazed with the results. This isn't a Windex-type product - it has a aromatic hydrocarbon (ie. kerosene) base that really leaves my visor looking brand new. I use a cotton towel instead of the fancy wipes so I can't comment ...

Marty What are all the amatuer wooden boat builders in California going to use now for their lead weighted centerboards? I have collected pails of free lead weights from tire shops many times to be melted down into my wooden centerboards.

Complain to the traffic division in charge of the light. They can adjust the sensors to pick up bikes. Also check your state statute - some states have langauge in their laws that allows mbikes to proceed after once cycle if the light never turns in their favor. If so, next time cite the statute to the offending cop. err- Officer. There 4+ pages of reading material on advrider http://www....
