QUOTE (Don @ Nov 26 2009, 09:32 AM) Here is a link to the Hensley Cub that has been mentioned above. http://tinyurl.com/y96h5wm I think that Hensley makes the most effective anti-sway device on the market but I find two interesting things. First, no one mentions the cost of this device - not even the manufacturer. My guess is that it is right at $2,000. Second thing, the photo in the upper left of the linked page...

Gymkhana Carol, Perhaps your suggestion is, indeed, one whose time has come. Perhaps it should become a fixture at Rallys and Gatherings. Technical details could evolve over the course of time. There are, perhaps, other gymkhana events the could be modified for those interested in a touch of competition. Do I see a Trailer Olympics in the future? Lane and the competitive Poodle Girls

We have a habit of looking over a town's surface streets as we tary there for awhile, looking for former main arteries that have since dried up as State Highway departments improve traffic flow patterns. Those traffic flow changes leave dried up business and their buildings as well as other cool "time capsule" things associated with that time frame. Hot Springs Arkansas has it's Bath House row, and , Independence...

In my opinion, YES it would have helped. Whether it would have completely prevented the accident is hard to say, depending how violently you swerved. In reality, once a sway starts, most people will aggravate the situation until they crash, as their corrections are fed in IN phase w/ the sway, making each sway worse, rather than better. Once that starts, it's just a matter of waiting for the result (which you were fortunate to walk away...

With any trailer, check the wheel lugs after you have driven some miles and once in a while after that. A wheel coming off can ruin your whole day. This is the nature of trailers. Remember no one writes of the delivery and trip home that went flawlessly. Enjoy your Casita, they are fun little trailers.

QUOTE (mountainborn @ Nov 26 2009, 12:02 AM) Happy Thanksgiving everybody ! Be sure to remember our service members that help to keep America free. They stand in the gap between us and so many of the world's bad things. Yet, many qualify for food stamps while being highly trained professionals willing to go in harms way so that we won't have to. Mountainborn, welcome to Kansas. A favorite campsite for me and my boys over the years is Big Hill Lake located close to Coffeyville. Check it out if you have not already.

Airstream, I have one that is like the one you referenced. I put the outside unit in my frige so I can always monitor the temp without opening the door. When I am on the road I keep the clock in my tow vehicle and can monitor the frig temp while traveling. Marc

First of all, I'm really sorry for the accident that you experienced. It's good to hear though that you and your wife escaped injury. I don't know if having the sway bar would've helped in your situation. It may have actually made things worse based on some of my reading of friction type sway bars. Your experience was one of my greatest concerns when shopping for a hitch. I eventually ...

That thing is a pain in the butt. I threw it away. Get one of those stainless steel clamps you tigthen with a screw driver. They work much better. I'm sure someone will come up with and even better idea, but I bet everyone agrees that thing is about worthless. Good luck, Matt

QUOTE (Airstream @ Nov 21 2009, 05:46 PM) At least that's my opinion. I just spent a couple of days at a campground in the Anza-Borrego State Park in CA. It was a slightly improved site with shade ramadas, picnic tables, vault toilets and non-potable water (one spigot). The rate last year was $7/night. The rate is now $15/night! You need to come up to Illinois where the fees ...

I use these things...works extremely well if I place them correctly. When placed correctly, I back up and set the parking brake one time, then hitch up. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Disp...temnu mber=95684

It depends. I assume that you have the 12v power cord. My wife and I both have CPAPs with 12v cords. We also have a 400w XPower battery inverter. I use the 12v on the inverter and my wife uses the trailers 12v plug. Her CPAP is also Resperonics. She can dry camp for two days, maybe three under the following assumptions: The battery is in good condition. The battery is fully charged. ...
