I own an 05 extra cab, an 06 1500 CC, and a 07 Denali XL. Trust me when I say that there is a HUGE difference between a CC truck and a Suburban/Denali/Escalade. None of my trucks with a 5.3 come close to having the power of a 6.2. They don't have the stopping ability, or ride control either. Not even close...

A little more detail into what your doing may help......
Are you replacing the sending unit and find no provision for the fuel gauge ?
If so, I just ran into the same problem installing a 86 tank in my 97. I bought a 86 sending unit but it wasn't right (not like the old one out of the 86), I found there are a couple different style sending units and couldn't find the ...

Dude if the priceis right pic it up. I had one similar to that on mine and I loved ahving the extra head room while loading/unloading. Having a 8 foot long trunk is awesome. plus with the taller camper I could still have pallets forked into the back.

the front end parts arent that expensive. the same parts were used for almost 20 years. its all really common stuff. if your going to be paying someone to do it. labor shouldnt really be too terribly awful. did he give you a quote on doing the work?

I should also ask this- in terms of Beds, how far into the future does my '78 Longbed (non-stepside) match up with?
For instance, most truck accessory stores won't list anything for a '78 chevy, but if my truck bed is the same as a 1990 chevy long bed, then things change. Is it only good up until 1987?

The tedious blazer windshield frame graft to the truck firewall.
First time it looked almost whole, yet worlds away from being complete.

540 BB in C10?? What sould I do?
Hi guys,
I have a Chevrolet BB 540 standing around in my garage (used to be for my el camino project, but I cancelled that one).
I also have some traction bars and could get a transmission with transbrake.
My 1980 Chevy C10 could really use a new engine, but I'm afraid the 540 could be a ...
