People always spell/say our last name wrong, so we said if we ever have a little boy we will name him Nebb, then when people call him Nedd + incorrect last name, he will get super frustrated and hulk out. Honestly, from someone in the movie rental business, I would just do a nice DVD player now. Blu Ray movies currently retail for quite a bit more than DVDs (yes, I know the quality is way better), and they are not showing signs of dropping prices any time soon. Because of the BR push coinciding with the recession, BR is currently in that dangerous place where they charge so much because the demand is so small and the demand is small because...

Hey DSTbride15 We are also doing an open bar at our reception but you are only charged for consumption, not for everyone at the reception. I would still go with your first choice in caterers. Most can make good food, but the presentation sets them apart. Also, check to see how many people actually will drink beer. If you have to buy half a keg or whole kegs, you may end up wasting more beer ...

A Thursday wedding is a huge inconvenience to guests. Many will take the time off work, but why would you want to make them use their vacation days on you? If people do it for budget reasons, then they do it understanding that a large portion will decline, and that's cool. To create a huge inconvenience because of the significance of the calendar date is pretty rude.

Apple picking, wine tasting, tour a historical site, shopping ... how far outside your home area are you willing to go? If it's not too cold (I haven't been outside yet), there are some cool Hudson River cruises that leave out of Weehawken (I know you're further south so IDK if you would want to drive that far up). We took one in the fall a few years ago and it was nice ... the guide pointed ...

Ask at a local bridal shop...many of them have seamstresses who can easily do this...especially during the "off season" (right now)
Also, see if there is a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists near you...they specialize in this kind of thing.
