I got a HP officejet J3600 and connected it with my phone cable. When
I get a phone call the officejet device keeps ringing for 15mins or so
(as if a fax is being received). I thought it should only do when a
fax is received, not for any phone call. I guess I might not have
installed something properly. A quick search on Google or the manual
does not reveal anything
Any suggestions would...

I also need to add that I've tried running IE without extensions and add-ons.
I've also reset IE to its factory settings. Finally, I uninstalled IE8 and
reinstalled it. I'm still encountering frequent shutdowns.

Hello,
Laptops seem to no longer come with a recovery CD (or DVD) these days.
I want to make such a CD so I can change the hard drive.
But I don't seem to be able to find the option.
Googling around, I found that you have to go to the control panel, then
"system and maintenance" then select "recovery manger". But I can't
find these particular menus.
Is this procedure correct, or ...

I've read some posts in this group about cleaning the registry of
"registry errors". I have used a program on occasion to " clean" the
registry but I am questioning the need for this after reading some of
the posts here. Is this something that should be done at any time, or
is it something that is just more "BS"? I have been asked to write a
