It could be that these are just errors in the online music database that
WMP uses, but if it happens to hundreds of songs, something else could
be at hand. Don't really have an idea of what could be ...

I burned a CDROM a short while back, and now can't get the **** thing to
mount (even though it would have been checked as OK prior to storage). As
its got data on it that is no longer available from source, I'm wondering
if anybody has any favorite tricks they've used to force a mount.
Its a cheapo Memorex thing from some supermarket, and the data was

Well, this has been covered several times in several threads. Simply,
no, there isn't and it doesn't look like MS plans to make any, they want
to do all their support on web forums now.

Since the time change on Sunday my WinXP Pro computer shows the right
time in the Windows clock (in the system tray), but programs that use
a function call to get the time from the operating system are 1 hour
ahead. I recall something similar happened the last time the clocks
changed.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?

No Win7 group on msnews. Very likely won't be. MS seems to prefer Web based
forums these days. Same old, same old. What they want, not what users want....

So I downloaded PCLinuxOS and tried to boot it but it hangs at the
goofy progress bar going about an inch across the screen. Why do they
hide the boot messages with a splash screen anyway?
Tried it on my desktop too and the same thing happens; gets to the same
spot and quits.
WTF?

you're an idiot Linux troll
Nobody is asking you to post pro-Linux on a Windows group meant to HELP
Windows customers.
Kevin Mitnick thought he is invincible, until he was awarded with a prison
term for hacking US gov & semi-gov organizations.
What you do here is to annoy & aggravate Windows users with useless Linux
dribble
