There is a weird red line down the left side of my screen. It is annoying at most...it would not be so bad if it were ANY colour but red. Anyway, I am pretty sure that it is permanent, but I was wondering if there are any suggestions you guys could give me to try to get rid of it just in case it is not. I have already tried: Installing the omega driver for the card (I installed it after ...

Hi All. This is my first post so be gentle! :-) I have a AcerPower F5 630, 3.06GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GBHDD (2 partitions) and a 300w PSU. I recently installed a PCI-Ex16 Gigabyte 8400GS 256MB graphics card primarily to support 2 x Samsung 730/740 LCD monitors which works fine in the various extended desktop modes. One LCD is set to analog, the other via the DVI - both connected to the 8400GS....

Hi Sometimes I get this message regarding my Wireless network adapter: This device could perform faster if you plug it into high-speed USB port (something like that). I have my adapter pluged in in the back of my PC and I don't have a clue which port is the fast one. What can be done here and how can I detect which port is the fast one? Thanks

Senate passes housing bill amid turmoil - Jul. 11, 2008 The Senate measure would create a new $300 billion government-backed foreclosure prevention program and strengthen oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The two mortgage finance giants, which play a central role in the U.S. housing market, took a thrashing this week on Wall Street as investors worried about their financial health...

Well, my 1950's fan is dying and causing overheating heating issues, so instead of replacing the HSF, which would've been the really cheap route, I told my wife my video card died and I need to get a new one . Sooooo, I bought a 4850 and when I went to install it, the system won't power up. When I hit the power button after installing it, the power flickers for about a second and that's it....

Townhall.com::It's the Oil, Stupid::By Hugh Hewitt The Democrats are deaf to the extra billions of dollars everyday Americans are shelling out for gasoline. The Democrat party just doesn't give a damn. Why? The environmental lobby has a stranglehold on them. The Democrats' left wing money machines plan to deindustrialize America in the name of Green Conservation. Think you count? ...

For those who haven't heard, the American owned Anheuser-Busch is in the crosshairs of inBev, a German brewing company. I don't drink beer much these days, though days past surely put at least on AB employee's kid through [ community] college. I really hope it doesn't go through as it sounds like another hit to the St. Louis economy after huge hits from many of our biggest employers in ...

I recently came across these on ebay, after a search: All matching items for sale. They are LCD inverters, which a google search reported could fix an LCD display that has become dull or less bright, like mine. In the past I considered replacing the whole LCD, bu at £100+ it just isn't worth it. I've already replaced the graphics card with an ATI Radeon 9600 so getting in there ...
