Try this : Remove the motherboard from the case and place a think sponge type material at the bottom and make sure you make small holes where the screws are to be fitted. Now assemble the motherboard again. Does it work? If it does, then you motheboard has some shorting issues. That is : your motherboards bottom parts that have the silver soldering stuff, are touching the case and a short circuit is occuring. If this doesn't help, try to...

Here is a simple solution for this. The error comes when the installer file in Windows is not able to run the setup of a application. The best option to clear this matter is to download and install Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp utility. The same is attached to this post. Download it and run it. This will clear up the registry settings configured by any other applications. After running the tool try to re-install the application back...

The problem occurs if the installer in Windows does not match with the setup which you are tying to install. It is a system error . Some time due to invalid registry key of the similar problem cause the error. I will recommend you to get a new copy of the software. You can get the same from Microsoft site. Once you get run a registry repair tool in the system and install the application. Hope this can help you.

I am referring to the big debate currently underway about clean installation using Windows 7 upgrade media (see here: http://www.crn.com/software/221300023) . Just thinking out aloud here: Couldn't Microsoft have avoided all this very easily by: 1. Disabling boot from upgrade media (i.e., you absolutely have to run the setup.exe from an existing qualifying OS). 2. ...
