WMP 11 Video Settings
Published (2009-11-12 18:51:00)
I would suggest using alternative players for DVD playback if you need to adjust brightness/contrast/saturation etc. Normally I use MEdia player Classic/Cinema for all video playback and Jet Audio/WMP for audio. Likely need to purchase a 3rd party enhancement plugin or MPEG2 decoder to enhance DVD playback. The InterVideo DVD XPack is pretty good.

Recover Deleted Files
Published (2009-11-12 07:09:00)
As for me, I use different software to recover deleted files. On the market, there are many programs that recover photos, videos, documents, and other important files deleted by mistake or intentionally, you can give some of them a try. For example, Advanced File Recovery, Recover My Files, Quick Recovery, R-Studio. I prefer the first one, because it unerases mistakenly deleted files from any media.

How to convert AVCHD Video...
Published (2009-11-06 03:38:00)
I recently treated myself to a HD camcorder as I will be going on holiday to California soon for a family wedding. I got the camcorder a bit early so I could have a chance to play around with it and practice editing the clips, the camcorder records the clips in a .MTS format which is a High-definition MPEG Transport Stream video format, commonly called “AVCHD;” used by Sony, Panasonic, and other HD camcorders; based on the MPEG-2 transport...

Got so frustrated with everything, I just deleted the movie without watching it! But the funny thing is, it does not affect other movies except the one I deleted. Why is that?

QUOTE (isa @ Nov 10 2009, 09:23 AM) It could be that something is still using the attached usb on your system. Make sure you have exited everything that may be using your usb. For example I see WinAmp open. If this is using a file from your USB, you would have to either exit WinAmp, or at least try ejecting the device from WinAmp. Either that, or just wait a while and try again. If all else fails, AND YOU ARE SURE YOU HAVE...

Question about tunebite
Published (2009-11-13 08:24:00)
Well, thanks for ur suggestion, but as I said I read on their site about this new version, but though I needed some feedbacks, smth. However, got the freeware version but it can't record only 1 min from a movie, as it's limited. But, honestly, I was pretty impressed of this 1 min recording as it has a good quality. This free version has only the conversion and downloading music features for free, the others are some demo...

I suggest you read more on their website . I used it years ago to remove copy protection (DRM) off music I purchased. However, many estores have turned to fairplay and removed limitations completely so have no need for this software. Seems like they are focusing on converting formats for more formats... so definately walk a fine line when it comes to copyright issues. I prefer to capture ...

Thanks for your reply... appreciate it! My only problem is with Windows Media Player. Other media players (vlc, media player classic etc) works fine and I can adjust video settings well within the player itself. I reckon it could be a WMP bug. You can try some freeware tools or some good shareware like Handy Recovery and DiskInternals Uneraser . If you've deleted your files from flash card of your camera - try this tool . Feel free to ask, data recovery is not so simple area.

You can use both. Just don't use MPC to play RealMedia files, use RealPlayer for that. Everything else will work fine. The Mega pack also contains Real Alternative. So if you want to use RealPlayer, you must deselect Real Alternative during the installation of the Mega pack. You should not install both RealPlayer and Real Alternative at the same time.

Why? You files will only get bigger. The quality won't become any better. You need a high quality input file for 320kps to be useful.
