Anna T. tweeted that she is not performing next week; it's the first time this season she won't be on in some capacity. :( There goes most of my interest for next week's results show. Maybe one of the pros will get sick with the flu and she'll have to step in again...

I thought I read somewhere here that they were all being given a chance to choreograph something new. Edyta tweeted that Jeffrey Ross is joining her and Ashley at the start of their dance to "Simply the Best". MJH also said she is dancing her KO salsa routine. Can we see Natalie's waltz since that was her next dance? IMO, the Mya vs Joanna set up is moreso in Joanna's mind (and I'd hate to see what else is in...

I don't overly care about Buble's albums being generic (I'm more annoyed when bland people are desperately pushed as "edgy", like Avril Lavigne), but he's very odd to watch live, there's always a lot of twitching and odd vocal inflections I thought he was oddly stationary during his performance. Like he was afraid to move his body more than absolutely necessary.

In this TV Guide interview , Louis revealed their dances for next week. So the confirmed, week 9 dances are: Joanne/Derek: Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, KO dance > Salsa Donny/Kim: Tango, Samba (One Bad Apple), KO dance > Jive Mya/Dmitry: Slow Waltz, Salsa, KO dance > Cha Cha Kelly/Louis: Quickstep, Rumba, KO dance > Cha Cha

Ok, if Joanna didn't like having ONE dance the same as Mya this week, she's really not going to like the direct comparison btwn TWO dances next week. She's going to have to hope that her innate sexiness and her ability to connect with Derek during the dance really makes their dances stand out, cause otherwise she's just going to suffer in comparison. And K-Lo (well, it's better than L'kel) are doing the Cha Cha...

He seemed to be holding her much closer than was necessary or appropriate. I may have been reading more into it than was there, but I thought he seemed to be pulling her closer to him every time she inched away. It looked awkward to me I noticed that, too! Weird old me, I thought it was HOT! I'm gonna go back and review their training videos - I'm pretty sure there were some intimate-seeming scenes on those too. If...

My friend who tuned in just for Susan Boyle emailed me about how good looking Dimitry is. She is right, and I don't see how Mya doesn't have some chemistry with him. Is she completely self involved? Dmitry has never had chemistry with any of his partners, on SYTYCD or here. I'm not sure why. Oh, thank goodness I'm not the only one. I can't stand him, & I'm so sick of reading he's like Harry Connick-...

I'm very pleased to know Kelly is a goner. Three dances? She can barely muster one. "Six" paddles for the win! I wouldn't assume! She's handled learning the dances quite well, and gets more confident each week. Not saying she'll win, or even avoid elimination next week, but I definately don't see her getting sixes. Louis will work her way harder than that, I'm almost positive.

Cool. I was wondering if they'd keep that Top 4 tradition. I'm curious to see if Joanna can sell a performance without Derek. I'm hope Kelly doesn't have the rumba. Solos in that dance are always awkward. This post has been edited by sintin : Nov 11, 2009 @ 7:14 pm.

I think the O'Briens' marriage is one of the most realistic relationships we've seen in Trek. It's not perfect, and both of them have to make compromises, but it works. Along those lines, I was re-watching Armageddon Game last night and I really liked what Miles said to Julian about marriage: How it's the greatest adventure there is because you take it together (paraphrasing). I also ...

Loved DanceCenter as usual. But the whole Mya bit was also weird and over-the-top, like when they predicted her to win and made that joke about Dmitry being the celebrity instead of the pro. Playing up the ringer controversy? Never! Jonathan and Anna are always welcome to grace my tv screen. More of those two next week, please. I have to say, as uncomfortable as Aaron made me feel, it was ...

Wasn't really sure where to put this, because I don't think it's a legit rumor, just a one-off sentence. But Danny Gokey sure as hell isn't on my wish list, so I'm opting for here. Just say no to Gokey! The only relevant sentence in case you don't want to click: The 29-year-old former church music director says he'd like to try "Dancing With The Stars," because the "Idol" judges ...

I just cast my vote for Gilles (I still love you, Helio and Drew, but Gilles doing the Paso Doble is a no-brainer for me -- sorry, guys!)

Just a small blurb from the Boston Globe, seems Tom has made his prediction about the final four: Personal prediction or foreshadowing of what's to come? Let me just say that I hope he's wrong about the Heather part.

Before anyone else mentions it, I have to say - even though I loved that particular piece of music (and the dance that accompanied it), to this day, I still cannot believe they actually used Duran Duran's "The Reflex" for a Paso Doble. Good on Monique/Louis for making it work, though.

I know that Jennifer Aniston expressed interest, but for one reason or another, has not been cast. I would personally love to see her do it. But would it be considered a step down? And would the producers not select her because such a big star would dominate the votes?

The band and/ or singers have to go as they are simply a hindrance to the celebs and pros. There is no excuse for having such a weak group when I'm sure that L.A. is filled with talented singers and musicians. Maybe our current performers are good individually, but they simply do not perform well as a unit. I don't buy the excuse that they only have limited rehearsal time because the bands and ...

SoapNet aired a 30-minute special/wrap-up on the show earlier this morning. I was able to catch up on what I've been missing, since I was watching The L Word on Sunday nights.

I didn't like this ep as much as the other 5 this season. And yeah, that's mostly because Robert was written out of it--but at least he was said to be working in DC, which he hasn't seemed to do enough of as a sitting US Senator. Yes, I do watch for more than Robert, individually (or Robert/Kitty), but all the storylines tonight--except for the Scotty/Kevin surrogacy storyline (though I'm "...

THANK GOD! Mya finally getting the scores she deserves, even though that Quickstep was deserving of a 30 too. I hope Joanna finally leaves, although it will probably be Aaron.

I appreciated the political story tonight since it is pretty much ripped from the headlines. Sensible moderates in the Republican party like Robert are facing all sorts of challenges from hardcore conservatives. I'm sure the nastiness will only continue in the weeks to come.

Dancing Stars Race to Erase MS Ian says he's not doing Playgirl. Drew says his allegience is to Cheryl (big surprise there), but if she can't win then is rooting for Joey/Kim. Is there some sort of former boybanders alliance?

Do the judges use their scoring/comments to try to influence how people vote? Well, heck yes, though I don't think there's any conspiracy here. If you're a judge, you want people to vote for the dancers you think are strongest and most interesting, so you give the highest scores and best remarks to your favorites and hope the public follows suit. Do the producers want a female ...

That was such a shitty ending. So the cartel is going to stop going after Connie now just because their client got off? And how can the judge honestly believe the defense attorney wants a speedy trial when 24 hours earlier he asked for a continuance? The judges this season have been really infuriating in their decisions.

I liked this episode better than the first even though I figured out the whistleblower aspect & how Marshall set up the driver. Didn't figure out the twist about his motive though. (Thank goodness the husband didn't try to collect part of the reward at the end. That would have been one twist too many.) Did they stop trying to find out where the grain alcohol was purchased? I don't know about...
