Uh, I hunt the same stuff with guns that weigh 6.4 to 7 lbs. I wouldn't want an 8 lb. gun, but I don't think you need a sub-6 lb. gun. Going from an old 1100 Magnum 12 Gauge to a White Onyx 28" 12 Gauge made the difference between having to sling the gun and being able to shift it around, carry it one-handed half the time, and stay out as long as my dog can. An ultralight is a nice 7th or 8th shotgun, to be brought out only...

Yes. 2" long shotgun shells are too short to work in most repeating shotguns. They are fine for double-barrels, over & unders, and single-shots though. rc

Quote: I actually recommend Hi-Points to the farmers who live around here when they ask about truck guns. They need something cheap and reliable that they can toss on the seat of their pickups. Hi-Point fits the bill perfectly. Why on earth would a farmer need a handgun for a vehicle, or a handgun at all (other than trips to town)? The only reasons for a handgun are to fight your way back to your longgun, or if you're in the CITY where...

They are cheap because they are based on a blowback design, they have rudimentary trigger groups and the slide is made of zinc (the barrel instead is high strength steel) They are reliable and reasonably accurate but they are what they are...very rudimentary and with horrendous ergonomics....CCW is basically impossible, they are ok in a pinch as a nightstand gun. Hi-Point has probably the best warranty in the industry. Cheap to produce and on...

FFL Transfer Fees - Page 2 - THR
Published (2009-11-06 12:16:00)
Quote: Lets see, you'll need the local business license, sales tax collection license (and file the monthly returns), zoning approval, Insurance, FFL license, any local firearm dealer license (mine required a $10K bond on top of the license fee), safe for secure storage, ability to store the records (so that you can find a specific one on a moments notice, mind you) for 20 years, and be subject to unannounced inspections by the BATFE...

Depends on what my siblings wanted to do, and the sentimental value of the guns. If they meant a lot to all of us, of course we'd split them the best way we knew how. If they really weren't that important, than I don't see why selling them would be a problem.
As for determining values, you can always post descriptions (and pictures! LOTS of pictures!) here on THR (in the ...

I doesn't matter if you let them or not kids will make a gun out of anything, a stick, their hand, etc, I remember wearing out the pockets of several pairs of jeans before the age of 5 by way of concealing a cap gun.

I do not think that there is any risk of it going that far until the end of Obama's final term in office. He knows he would lose the vote of too many people if he signed a bill like that, and he would never get a second term.
My bet (depending on how mid-terms go) is that if he has his way, it would be ready to go in Nov./Dec. of 2012. Once ...

I like it. you could cut you top horizintal bar near the verticles and add tees and then make a "U" at the back to hold the net open a little more.
You might have to change your name to "The Wily Irishman".

Today's events definitely make me wish I could legally carrry in more places.
I learned from military personnel today that soldiers on base/post are not allowed to carry...anything. (He said below E-4)
Others confirmed that civilians, contractors, visitors cannot either.
So it was essentially another place where everyone was an unarmed sitting duck.
I'm worried that they will ...

Kel Tec, for one. Slightly higher price point, but same reputation for service.
Others have names and reputations - both of which are expensive to have, hold, and uphold in the US Economy. Is a Colt or Kimber that much better than a Rock Island? Most say yes. But, many will also say that the Rock Island's bang is just as loud and durn near as accurate. Is a Brooks Brothers suit that much ...

Isnt this the modern day version of 7.62 x 25 Tokarev round?
No. A modern Tokarev round would be the 357 SIG. The 5.7x28mm round is more like a much less powerful .22 Hornet.

Probably because of the amount of guns chambered in .45. plus the . 40sw takes a lot of market away from the 10mm, plus its cheaper than both the 10mm and the .45

FAL-clones from various sources (DSA is a good one).
G3 clones from various sources (PTR-91 is probably the best option going on that front).
M14 clones from various sources ( Springfield M1A is the most common).
CETME clones, though these can be real hit and miss because of the companies that built them.
Any of those is worth a look. I believe there are others out there if ...

Lets talk about this wonderful piece of equipment. "COLT"
So I work at a gun store. This particular gun was leaned up against the wall when it slid over and hit the floor. It wasn't surpassing to see a broken in half Colt AR-22 LR. I have heard some bad stuff about these Colts but has anyone seen something like this:

Well, my "I got hosed on a used gun" stories result from trusting a dirtbag on Thefiringline with what he said about a gun. I did a cash/stuff trade with a dirtbag on a .22 rifle on TFL. He sent a few pics and said the gun had " ceramic" coating on it. Yea, he had spray painted the darn thing! Fine, paint your gun, but who paints a bolt and everything? Not to mention the huge crack all the ...

Lee classic cast
You can buy one new for around $80-$90, Lee has great customer service and the press is right on par (If not better) than the Rockchucker.
