Re: Flathead compression ratio
Compression ratio doesn't have a direct corrolation to compression readings... A low compression stocker and a high compression race engine could have identical compression readings but vastly different ratios. You need the bore, stroke, piston dome(or dish) volume, head gasket ...

Re: Global Warming!
It was 55 deg. up here today (avg. 38 deg F). Drove down to Fargo, got some supplies, came home and finished welding the rottissere for the Merc together, with the windows open in the garage!

This is the best shot of the 15OZ Coupe I ever saw.
All the others I've seen have been from the left rear at night.
Is this/was this a real competition car?
I read some verbage about it when "Nitro Central" was still alive.
I need some education here.
What's the significance of the "15oz." ?

Royal, I love you but I know this will be very depressing for me. I have asked about several cars with the same response. It's sad.

Be patient... get all the bugs out of the run'n gear then do your personal touches. Believe you me it may take you a while but it will be worth it in the long run. Sounds to me you love that car!
Best of luck
