5.0 Swap using 5.8 Questions.
Published (2009-11-25 21:25:00)
I'm tired of getting jerked around on the wrecked SC.I've decided to go back to the 5.8L swap.I've been told that it's possible to use the 3.8L EEC with a 5.0L,but is it possible to do it with a 5.8L?I know a lot of valve overlap causes issues with the EEC.How much is to much?I will need the EEC chipped any way because I plan to go with a T-5 from a Cobra.Would it be easier to just do a 5.0 wiring and EEC swap with a 5.8L?I...

It's not for everyone. Personally I like it... give it time. The core is quite stable (at least on my machines). Drivers are a little buggy but like I said, give it time. I hated XP initially too; I refused to upgrade from Windows 98 for two whole years after it came out.

Bosch o2 sensors are fine and you will only need 2. You really should replace both front sensors ath the same time in order to achieve better gas mileage and to keep bank 1 and 2 more equal. Most people put new ones in front of the cats and then move the ones from the front to behind the cats. That usually works but if for some reason the old pass. sensor still gives you trouble just swap it ...

Yea You're in the right area, leave the bottom 1-2 spring out and replace the top 1-2 spring with the one he sent you. You'll need snap ring plyers to remove the cover plate and access the 1-2 accumulator.

You're treading on thin ice here buddy. I just gave you another one for this post. Here's how it works.... Three infractions and you'll receive a citation. Five citations and you're looking at a violation. Four of those and you'll receive a verbal warning. Keep it up and you're looking at a written warning. Two of those; that'll land you in a world of hurt, in the form of a disciplinary ...
