Stick to the 94mm bore. Any bigger and there are massive problems with head gasket sealing. I believe cylinder works or millenium technologies (rebore and replate) is the way to go. Make sure you have your 39mm FCR and MRD exhaust. Also, Hotcams really make the setup worthwhile.

I agree, I've had to deal with the problems of previous owners. Cost me more than the bikes that had the problems. It sucks. Thats why I had to bring myself to just buying a new bike wth a warranty. If anything happens now its my fault. That being said, dont call any vehicle an "investment". They arent. You are lucky if you get your money back on your purchase, much less make a profit, which...

There are a few things to check. First you want to make sure the throttle closes completely when you shut the throttle. If it has a dual cable throttle (one open cable and one close cable) you need to make sure that both cables, especially the close cable, has a little slack in it. Also, air leaks can cause the rpms to hang like that before dropping back down to idle. In fact, anything that ...

I just saw the 50 miles part. Dude, a supermoto is a fantastic urban commuter. However, 50 miles a day is a lot. Personally, I'd be looking at a sport-standard type of bike for that, like an FZ or Suzuki's Gladius. Then there is the good ol' SV650.

I'm assuming he had no reason to brake hard. Just being a dick? This shit happens to me too. Some people just hate their lives so much, they end up taking it out on others. All the more reason for heightened awareness while on the tard. Glad you're ok and didn't have to be involved in a chase with him. Be safe. John

I know what you mean. It seems like I cant go a day without seeing someone on a sportbike (usually a 1000) riding by with locked elbows, no real gear, and huge chicken strips. It bugs me but I laugh at them secretly. I know its not right to judge someone but it seems like its always the exact same dude, everytime. People like that ruin the image people have of motorcyclists.
