I just went back through this whole thread and noticed that the people reporting this problem are all basic members, which means they see more ads than do the contributing members. This is leading me to suspect that the problem is indeed caused by malware embedded in one of the rotating ads that they see. This is not an unknown phenomenon. If there's a contributing member out there who has also experienced this, please let us know ASAP....

Subwoofer amplifier

Nah, it's not big at all. It's fairly standard size for a 2 channel amp. I am running an after market sub so, yeah, there's a bit more bump than the stock sub.

Fan Install For Air Intake
Published (2009-11-21 11:28:00)
If you bolted a leaf blower or something of that power on it would work lol. A small electric fan, such as the duct helper fans won't do anything, they flow less air than the car normally pulls in by itself.

I'd suggest trying something other than Mobile 1 for your next oil change
to see if your results vary.

what panel to you mean? The one that surrounds the stereo head unit? if so, this thing is a PITA to remove. It's more than likely those pesky clips keeping it from releasing. Try plastic pry tools first, or a wrapped screwdriver (make sure you put tape on the trim too).
Good luck

It all started back in late 2003.
The lease on my Wife;s(then girlfriend) Honda Civic was coming up and she was looking around for a new car. The dealership I work for had taken a 2001 Forester S in on trade and me being the Subaru fiend that I am decided to take it home for the night. She drove around in it for a little while and completely loved it except for the fact that it had a ...

I'm by no means an audiophile, but IMHO the OEM premium speakers are fully adequate as long as you install an amplifier. I'm using them with an aftermarket Alpine HU and Alpine amp, and have no complaints at all (and there is definitely a difference between the quality of the basic speakers we used to have in our other Forester, and the premium ones in my 04 FXT).

Dynamat would probably get expensive.
There have been a lot of posts about RaamMat on here and a lot of people seem to be very happy with it. I layered RaamMat and Ensolite on my 07 and it is MUCH quieter now. They also have excellent customer service. Between that, the new TripleTreds and the rear sway bar, its like a different car!
Do a quick search and you'll see what I mean.

People come from all over. I think that guy that drives the furthest each year is Ted, one of the organizers who drives from northern NH down to Philly for the start, then does the trip, ending in southern NY, then drives back to NH.
Everyone is welcome to join in. People from Pittsburg join us on occasion and we had one crazy guy come all the way from Canada (Toronto area) last year....

Watched all 4 games last night ( 3 east and 1 west ). Tonight, I'll only be able to see 2 of them.
Love Hockey season ....... have withdraw symptoms in the summer.
Not akin to following any one team ..... but like to see some really good players and games unfold.

I totally would love to see some pics. Right now I have some Hellas mounted in there so the behind-the-grill FMIC is currently on hold. I'm sure it will be at least until I get my car to stop over heating.

The high temps would lead to detonation. You wouldn't be able to run much boost or as much timing advance. Some sort of cooling to the intake charge is critical. A good front mount or top mount should have minimal resistance and minimal pressure drop. The difference between a good top mount and front mount in spool time usually isn't all that bad especially if you're running a turbo that ...
