I would like to replace the fuel filter in my 06 Forester, and I understand it's been moved to the fuel tank. I removed the bottom part of the rear seat expecting to see something obvious related to the fuel pump assembly. Instead, all I saw was carpeting/foam. Am I missing something? Do I need to peel away the blanket to access it? Can someone who has done this before give some advice as to...

You need the shorter bolts from an Impreza as the Foz ones bottom out, the spacers on the trans crossmemember are welded on so you need to grind them off or source an Impreza part, you also need an Impreza steering 'knuckle' as the Foz one is then too long. Simon

A buddy of mine is thinking of returning his JDM swapped CG to somewhat stock before he sells it, and he said he may be willing to swap transmissions with me. He has a 5MT JDM STi RA Ltd. V5/6 Transmission that has DCCD and a Front Helical LSD. It is a pull type clutch just like my XT, and the final drive is 4.444. My question is, would this be a straight swap with my XT tranny? I ...

Up for sale, used (~30K miles) Forester Specific STi pink springs, should fit all SG chassis. 100% street car, never rallied, raced, off-road, etc. They're cleaned and good to go. Mild drop @ ~1 in. all around, but stiffens up the ride more than stock. $200 shipped in Cont. US $170 cash local, will meet halfway in SF bay Pics and part #s to come. Thanks.

(without permission that is) So yesterday I called up some friends and they drove over to these mud pits where I live and we got down and dirty. Unfortunately our convoy ended with a broken inner wheel well but Real Lyte is a pimp and said it's easily fixed. Here's some pics of after the journey: The ghetto way of cooling your engine =] Yay! Privacy of friends is essential (wtf ...

As I posted awhile ago, I went to London for a week. I only saw 1 Subaru until I went to the dealer to get my rain visors... Lots of Minis, tiny Mercedes, Smart Cars..etc, but just one single late model White WRX. Why? I thought they would be popular as sensible smaller (well, small to me.. I would call them mid sized compared to most cars on the road that I saw). Your weather ...

Dear Group, While working on my 99 Forester L I accidentally pushed in a security button that started flashing. I pushed the button in again to what I thought was to disarm the system. I removed the battery cable and now whenever I try to re-attach the battery cable the alarm sounds. Can anyone help? I have the battery disconnected until I figure this out.

Right? I know for a fact that I'm not going to be driving gas-powered cars for very long since I'm just now starting to drive... I'd love to hear your guys' opinions on this issue. Of course there's alternative energy but it's not going to provide us with cars as advanced as we have right now. They won't be as fast or as fun in my opinion and I absolutely love the sounds the engines in ...
