Hockey is made to be listened to in French. "Et c'est le BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!" The RDS announcers don't try and hide their bias in favour for the Habs, which makes it more fun to listen to. I don't like Joel Bouchard, though...or rather, I tend to get distracted by his giant freaking hands that he never knows what to do with when he's on screen. Of course, the Habs lost tonight, 5-4....

Rules: The name of the game is Mafia, and it goes like this: each Day, the townsfolk vote to kill someone they suspect is an evil hidden character (in this case, the screamers). Each Night, the screamers meet in secret and kill someone they think is on to them. This continues until one faction has been completely eliminated, or nothing can stop this from happening. Basically. You can post ...

I guess Arl=Earl? I'm really hoping it's awesome, because (not to put too fine a point on it) this is the first game I've preordered, or possibly even paid for, for three years. It's not fair that you US guys get it three days ahead of us in the UK (and staggered releases seem kind of pointless what with piracy and the internet) Frankly I've given up on the unique items. Follow up question, and forgive me for being possibly naive here: if all this is true, does that mean that the force of gravity that we feel is the space rushing past us into the earth? It seems to make sense to me, but I'm pretty skeptical about anything that would "explain" what gravity is and still makes sense to me.

It's been a few months, but try reading Musicophilia It's a fairly interesting book. Each chapter is a "case study" of a person with a particular interesting music/brain situation. I think I remember a case study like you describe - where the person could always hear music (really hear, not just play in their head). I don't recall much beyond that. It was a decently enjoyable read,...

I know I'm starting it pretty late, what with 2 days until the season opener. I was debating on whether or not I should run this, since if I don't come with some efficient system it'll be a lot of work. But... the 2 day thing only matters if you're going to pick a player from the Pit/Ten game, and given that both teams have tough defenses that's unlikely - so for the most part ...

You don't try to stop religion now, but what if they were sacrificing babies on their altars? It's just a matter of abhorrence. The other thing with gay marriage is that it "lessens" straight marriage. It's like giving everyone a trophy. "Marriage" is about love and commitment, intending to start a family and raise children. Gay people just buttfuck one another and here people are telling ...

I don't see the downside. Truthfully, Obama may not win over anyone with this approach, but considering some of the lies and propaganda spread by Fox already, I hardly think this would somehow intensify their hate of Obama. This is a network that funded and supported a supposed "grassroots" movement calling for revolution AND thinks that the president isn't born in the country. Having ...

A worthy idea, jayjay. I was thinking some time back that the other thread was getting a bit daunting for people to get into. So, here's an issue that I (and I'm sure others) would appreciate a discussion about : the success of PvE and PvP talent builds. There are a lot of boards where there are discussions of builds, but they are either too jargon-loaded for me, or they seem to ...

Yikes! I don't think I know anyone like that. My parents did a pretty good job of teaching me how to cook frugally and my sister-in-law is the master of making the dollar stretch. Hmmmm. Well, I've certainly been drunk. So, what haven't I done that's 'typical' for around here? Well, I've never gone hunting or fishing. Don't have anything against either sport, and I'm not afraid to fire a gun. But I've never been hunting. Around these parts of WV, that's pretty rare.
