Because there is no substance . None of the characters are compelling. There is no character development aside from the one-dimensional framework and constructs they are established by. Absolutely no background whatsoever is provided for the Aliens; background which is essential in constituting a solid plot and establishing plausibility and suspension of disblief. It's 21% of what needs to be downloaded. For example, if you already had half the game, 21% actually represents 60.5% - the 50% you already have, plus 21% of the remaining 50%.

I recall tons of anticipation when Atari had signed with Steam than the NWN
series would be soon made available for purchase some time ago, and with
the whole Dragon Age release it got me wondering more where is Bioware's
other fantasy epic? Anyone got an idea when this will or will be made
available for purchase on Steam?

Melee will be pointless without critical hits. Crits add variety and an element of randomness to the game. This game is geared towards casualness rather than competitive play, hence why you see crits in this game and not others like CSS.
