Burton you weren't listening when you read ,, it wasn't me doing the polishing , it was my g-son and he did need some proding now and again before he was done,, i had him do them by hand one time so he'd learn to appreate how much work they reprosent when done and the end results are in direct proportion to the amount of labor put forth

wash out as much as of the engine with simple green as you can, then clean it with water. look for new trails. make sure the banjo bolts on the oil cooler are tight, make sure the rocker cover is on. check the oil return and feed line going to/from the turbo. also, takes a while for the oil to set back and drip all the way down. wait like 30 minutes This post has been edited by Killtodie : Yesterday, 05:36 PM

I don't use a big snag grinder like that. I use a smaller angle grinder with an 80grit Roloc disc on it (works good for edging in fiberglass hoods too LOL)...

I don't understand why you wouldn't weld it. JB weld is fine for some things but not this in my opinion. Do you want to take the chance that even the slightest piece of crap ends up in your turbo? This is very easy to weld. Do it properly, make it pretty, weld it and never have to worry about it again. Now before you say "but I don't have a welder" Every exhaust shop has a welder and they will do small jobs...

My Quest has vibration under acceleration (a rumble) off the line. Found several bushing have play but, I suspect that the rear trans mount and the upper and lower cushion where the front of the differential mounts to the front support may be weak. There seems to be alot of play, though the rubber cushions still seem to be intact. I am able to raise and lower as much as a half an inch with a ...
