I don't view this as positive as it seems. While the desired end result would be to have spearfishing open, the general public made up of over 90% hook-and-liners and will call upon the same panel members to reject spearfishing to continue. And it would drive home the wedge of division between hook-and-liners and spearfishermen. Don't kid yourselves, we need the support of hook-and-liners more ...

you make some good points here that I really relate to Sandy. I've found there is a balance somewhere in the mix too. Whatever each one of us feels is the most appropriate approach is something i can't comment on, but i can and do remember that Proposal 0 is still an option...proposal 0 is "nothing changes".
I am openly a supporter of Proposal 2 as the ABSOLUTE WORST CASE SCENARIO...however ...

If you are looking for a small liberal arts college like I am, I would look at the Claremont consortium and Occidental. All are good colleges and are fairly close to Palos Verdes, which has some great diving.
