Not a computer guru either, Dave. How much does that package run? I think you'll still have to replace in another 8 years if not sooner. That's a pretty long time by computer standards the way technology changes. Seem like you picked a pretty good package, lots of memory both hard drive and RAM. What do you do for back up? (That's my down fall as well, really need something user friendly for regular backup)

Enclosed trailer securement

Fred, our delivery trucks at work have that E track and its a good strong track to secure too. I am not sure how you will be holding the bikes in place though. The tracks run horizontal down the sides, but i am guessing you could make up some type of cradles and mount the track on the floor. They also make load locks that secure in the e tracks. Maybe you could make something up with those and some type of cradle that would go around the wheels.

Upgrade time and need some advice
Published (2009-11-27 08:13:00)
It's about time I update my office desktop, as the one I'm on now struggles to meet our needs. I'm seriously short on RAM and speed. So it's time to upgrade... Now I've asked other for help on this, because although I'm not computer illiterate, I do find there's alot thats changed since I got my last unit 8 years ago. So I'll start with what I've narrowed it down to. I don't mind to spend a...

I just became a member in Jan 08. I bought this 91 GMC w/ Curtis Sno Pro 2000 in July 03. I'm the 4th owner of the truck and 3rd owner of the truck/plow. Nothing has been misused on either. I know the previous 2 owners who only did personal plowing & a friend/neighbor. The truck only has 90K on it, but New York salt is getting to it. I only use it occasionally.

U will be just fine. The 8611 will work also. The front GVWR will handle the full size. That truck is what that plow was designed for.

Hi Ron, I plow my dirt driveway, road, neighbor's driveway & horse's sand paddock. My shoes are set to keep the cutting edge about 3/8 of an inch from touching.
Once there's a base of hard packed snow down, I take them off.
