According to a source thers is a new multi-storey condo building on John Gorham Lane underway here in Bedford. Does anyone know any details about this? EDIT: After a hell of a lot of digging and visting the site it is apparently another Bedford norm ... A set of 8 townhouses in a 3-storey building.

Here's a slightly better close-up for the covered street. There are plans to install a skating rink in the centre during the winter and a fountain during the summer. Thanks to "steve61" for originally posting the photos in the Nova Centre thread (photos originally from The Chronicle Herald ).

I find it funny how Bellingham was expecting to benefit from the Olympics. It's time to wake up: this is the case for all the Olympic games.

Hello???? Minnesota is not a city... perhaps try Minneapolis?
Anyway... I think think a better tack to take is how Americanized a Canadian city is rather than if it is truly American in Nature. (Our overall liberal attitudes negates any true comparison. Yes, even in Calgary, Gays can get married. LOL)
However some cities have taken on a more American feel than others....
