I bought a used Ruger Red Label 12 Gauge with supposedly only 250 rounds fired through it. The gun was new in 2004. The gun was in mint condition at the store. On my first outing the darn ejectors only work periodically and now I get home today and found a small hairline crack on the forearm. Has anyone experienced similar issues with the Red Label? I thought this was a great gun and don't know ...

I read some time ago that transporting a shotgun that has been assembled (ie barrels + forend + action and stock all together ready to shoot) leads to premature loosening of the barrels/action connection. When I bought a K80 in the early 80s it came in a padded canvas, full assembled length, Krieghoff bag that suggested to me that transporting the gun assembled might be no problem....

Hi all, First post. First of all, I want to say that I am NOT a shotgun expert! I am WAY more comfortable with my handgun than I am with a shotgun. I am currently making a conscious effort to change that and have been practicing heavily with my shotguns. I don't mean to come waltzing into this forum acting like a shotgun guru, so everything I say here, take with a grain of salt!...

I have a shotgun I want to put a scope on, I was thinking of about a 3-9 x32,I found a simmons Blazer and a Bushnell sharpshooter at Optics Planet for about $30 but it says for rifles ,is it really necessary for the scope to say shotgun and spend the extra cash. I went to a gun shop and explained to the guy what I wanted he said to get an air rifle scope because they are made stronger to handle ...

I looking for a 20ga pump for my hunting buddies son and I have a question. Are the 870 and BPS 20ga guns built on smaller size frames than the 12ga guns? Thanks _________________ Once you pull the pin Mr Grenade is no longer your friend.

My youngest son (19) came to live with me last week after several troubled years living with his mother in California. He's struggling to find himself and, as you can imagine, left behind friends (some good, some really bad) and loved ones. I feel for him and am trying to be a good Dad and offer some direction as best I can. When visiting from California in the past, I've taken him out ...

Hello, long time lurker and reader. I recently have taken up skeet and am shooting a 12 ga Benelli Legacy. I love the gun and shoot better with it than any gun I've ever owned. But, after just 3 or 4 rounds of skeet, my shoulder hurts! Don't mean to sound like a wuss, but is there anything I can do with this particular gun to significantly reduce recoil? I last shot 4 days ago, and I can ...

Just want to run the final list by you guys before I click order. IMR 700x - I'm choosing this over promo because even though it is a little more expensive, you end up using less. Cheddite 209 Primers - I just picked the cheapest stuff. Down Range 12 Gauge XL-1 - From that post with a poll, these seem to be the 1oz wads to use. Hulls - I have about 200 winAA hulls and...

I am reloading .410 cases using Hodgdon H110 and am using a home made aluminium powder scoop but I find that sometimes the powder has a tendency to stick to the scoop, almost like static is holding it there. It's no big deal but I have to give the scoop a bit of a rap to discharge the last grain or so and was wondering if there was anything I could do to stop it and why does it happen in the ...

Everyone talks about good shotguns, or great, or the best, or whatever. What is the worst shotgun you ever bought or shot? Shotguns for new shooters to avoid? Scout
