BIG drivers.........

Sounds to me like you need to steer clear of the standard offerings from most all the Big maunufactorers. Look at the Tour or TP versions, these will tend to be closer to square faced at address. Many advertise open, but really aren't. But if you search around and hit a few you can find one that suits you usually.

Yeah, I've noticed alot of courses here have fine tined, the greens and top dressed them. I usually play on nice greens. I won't play somewhere that has crappy greens, it's just a waste to me. I'll deal with hard tee boxes.. I'll deal with some weeds and thin spotted fairways. I'll even deal with some rocks in the fairways, and rocks in some bunkers. I will NOT deal with burnt, thin, dusty, sandy, rocky greens....

Published (2009-07-01 04:31:00)
I like the weather, mid 50's at night & mid 60's to very low 70's in the day is perfect. You guys can have that upper 80's & 90's shit.

I was cleaning out some old magazines the other day and read an article that fascinated me. They were talking about golf and how it is the one sport that pros have distinct advantage your everyday weekend golfer (other than just being blessed with talent)...specifically the course...what it was saying that when pros play in tourneys they have spotters to find their ball virtually anywhere they ...

I always hear about golf keeping someone honest...and being an honest game..heck I think people lie about their golf more than fishing...everyone says they are longer than they are...hit their wedges and rip covers off balls ..have 130mph swings...etc...example...I got talked into playing with some guys the other day. I have never golfed with 2 of them but have heard many tales of reaching ...

My wife won a $100 Callaway Gift Card at an outing, so between that and the fact that they now have a $100 mail in rebate, it seemed like the thing to pick up. Had been eying one of these to replace my iGolf for a while now, but couldn't justify the $400 price tag. The other reason I was skeptical is that I like the AA battery option in my iGolf over many of the others. Although I picked...

Anyone have any recommendations on these. Looking for one for my wife. She has a Sun Mountain Speed cart and it is for an iGolf. So looking for one that would fit it or a generic one as I do not think they make them specific for an iGolf.

So about 8 of the last 10 rounds have been in the 70's. Shot 75 twice. Currently my 'cap is down to an 8.2, and I'm sure when the update comes out at the end of the month it'll drop even lower. The course I play has 5 sets of tees: Ladies Seniors Mens White: 68.6/114 - 6132 yrds Mens Green: 70.6/115 - 6597 yrds Mens Blue: 72.6/116 - 7034 yrds I've been playing from the Green ...

Well, last week we had 98º F, 95º F, 90º F, and 87º F for temps after wallowing in the low 70º's F. I thought summer was here. Tommorrow it's going to be a high of 65º F and 55º F when we start at 9:37. Cripes, it was this warm in May. Where is global warming when you need it?

I am _almost_ sure I can turn pro, if I buy one of them thar "Ping G10" drivers. esp since I just learned, mostly, kind-of, to hit my old cally X460! and the Adams xtd aos3 I have doesnt do anything exciting for me. seems almost woobbly at times with its reg. flex shaft. have spent just enough time reading G10 posts to get pumped up on one. course a few days ...

You win a lottery. You want to buy a car/truck. However, the stipulation of the money is that you have to 1. live in your present hometown and 2. drive it everyday as your commuter/everyday car. What do you buy? R35

Laser's post in the recent " newbie questions " thread made me think of this. I don't have a calculated handicap. I just play to play. Most of the time I keep score, but a lot of times I just play through and don't bother. I was playing with a buddy for the first time a couple of days ago and he kept score for both of us (because I wasn't going to bother.) I noticed he was employing ESC for ...

Cripes, I'm all over the place. I got into a 16 man team match today, 2 best balls. Our group sucked but I felt bad as I was yanking my tee shots left bad. I was getting one shot on the 2nd hole, 610yd. par 5. I ripped that tee shot up the gut, ripped a 13* to 70yds. out then hit a SW thin skipping off the back, damnit. Anything I tried off the tee on the front was going left though. I ended ...

So - I've been really manic at work pretty much all of June - not even had a chance to do the lunchtime bucket of balls like I usually do a couple of times a week. Not even touched a golf club at all! So finally got to go out and play a nice evening 9 last night - mid 20˚s, not much breeze, just perfect golfing weather. Was expecting to have to remind myself how to hold the club properly,...

So I finally got to the range with this thing. I did some work on my swingpath and face angle today but results were quicker/better than I thought. I'm very glad I got the 10.5* in this club. The specs say it's high launch but I hit the SQTP 9.5* as high or slightly higher. The specs also say low spin... and they weren't kidding on that one. It was very wet at the range and balls were still ...

Yesterday I got a call from one of our employees for help and to call 911. He was riding in a pick up with my brother-in-law/ business partner. Bob had a heart attack. Rushed there from my location in the a soybean field about 2 miles away. I got busy with aggressive CPR but no help. Paramedics arrived 15 minutes later ( rural area), portable cardiac defib unit etc. Being, 60 years old, overweight...

I was loafing thru some OLD threads (circa 2005) and remembered asking about shaft upgrades - seems like I am still asking the same questions, just maybe not as green as before. I remember getting some great advice which I will pass along to whomever might need it. "My second recommend is the NV from Adila. That shaft rocks. Put that in any 460 driver and go down town. I like it the most...

So, ive come to some sort of realization. Im fat, out of shape, and an alcoholic. First off, havent touched a drink in 6 days. I plan on not drinking a drop untill the 4th, then drinking once every other week. I dont miss it at all. Secondly, I stopped eating like a lard-ass. Clean eating, skinless chicken, tuna, wheat bread, etcetc. My last plan of action is trying this P90X jazz, as ...
