Mini laptop suggestions?

Martha, we gave Alex (14) a 15 inch Toshiba laptop for his b-day/graduation present. It was a very basic model, but it's enough for him. It was under 400. We decided against a netbook because he really doesn't need to take his with him anywhere. Dollar for dollar the laptop gave more value.

The board is super slow these days so don't worry about the lack of response. I actually asked the same question in March when the board wasn't as slow and got some good answers. Thanks so much... I was beginning to wonder cuz no one responded at all.? I know what you mean about not wanting him to feel ashamed about it - but it is driving me insane.? My newest approach is every time I see him with his hands IN?his pants, I make him go wash his hands with soap and water... we shall see if this helps. Grayson is doing the same thing---he will not leave it alone! It's gotten to the point now where I just tell him that he needs to go to his room if he's going to touch his penis. I think a computer for Christmas is an awesome idea! But if you're looking for something that will be useful for homework in the future, then a netbook probably isn't the best idea because they are limited in their capacity. There are plenty of great fullsize laptops on the market that are relatively affordable: Toshiba and HP are both good, and I love my Sony Vaio. Right now you can find them ...

Keagan loves Mario Cart, Super Smash Bros. and Nascar Cart Racing. Unfortunately I don't have any girly game recommendations for Athena's age. She would probably like dance, dance revolution although she may not get it yet. We have Outdoor Challenge that all 3 of my kids like.
