To 'The Club House' As well as being subject to the normal posting policy there are a few simple rules which all chit chat threads throughout Sf-Fandom have. 1) Please keep posts discussional in content. Short meaningless posts will be considered post count padding and will be removed. 2) Personal one on one discussions are not permitted please take those to private email. ...

I occasionally browse blog search to see who is talking about my favorite authors. This morning I was pleased to find two brief references to Andre by people who mentioned they had never read her work before. The Estcarp Cycle of The Witch World novels by Andre Norton. Running across this author, apparently one of the grande dames of sci-fi, revealed yet another appalling hole in my ...

Dawnie is now legal in every way possible. (But only Xander sees her as she really is - a woman. ) From the IMDB: Quote: Date of birth : 11 October 1985 Location : New York, New York, USA Birth name : Michelle Christine Trachtenberg Nickname : Mitchie Height : 5? 7" (1.70 m) She worked with Sarah Michelle Gellar on "All My Children" before "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and they were good ...

Was it the war with dwarves and goblins or the one in the swamps? Or, one that was totally different? Does the books mention it in details? Sounds like a brutal war since the great goblin called Thorin and company murderers and elf friends.Did it involved just goblins and elves? Talk about a bad family feud between good non corrupted elves and really corrupted ones at least boy ones.

Does this mean anything?? A team of scientists led by renowned French marine archaeologist Franck Goddio recently announced that they have found a bowl, dating to between the late 2nd century B.C. and the early 1st century A.D., that is engraved with what they believe could be the world's first known reference to Christ. The rest is here.

In a moment of weakness, I dialed this up on PPV. Eye of the Beast (2007) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0867286/ As far as B-grade monster movies go, this wasn't bad. It follows the exploits of marine biologist James Van der Beek as he searches for a freshwater Giant Squid terrorizing a Canadian fishing village. Using the 'Jaws' formula -- disappearing and dead townspeople, ...

In the second ep of the series, Doc Magnus and the gang encounter the Morrigan, witches whom had been imprisoned in a stone crypt since the Middle Ages. Leah Cairns (Racetrack from BSG) played witch Tatha. Laura Mennell played witch Caird. Miranda Frigon played Danu, the head witch. All three are slated to appear in two more eps as their witchy roles. It was a decent ep. I ...

#10: Jadzia Dax. Devastatingly gorgeous as she obviously is, I hated her with a searing, seething, savage passion. They made a semi-comdic sidebar routing about how she tortured Bashir, and relished doing it. On the show, it was kind of funny; but, in reality, I've known women like that, women who enjoy using their beauty to torment guys; and in reality there is nothing funny about it....

A newspaper blames the cartoon series on Cartoon network for causing a mother to put her baby into a microwave. It claims that one of the characters puts pets and other character into the microwave and nuke them to death.
