10% = 7.27 years to double. 12 % = 6.11 years to double. If China is presently 24.7% of the US economy, then it will take 14.62 years at the present growth rate of 10% to be on par if the US does not grow. This is probably not sustainable. Woerns, For now the way I read it is that Spansion wants to release at least ONE good message this day. ;) That's one day to look at it. Another way to look at it, looking at the statements and press releases, Spansion has been signaling this for some time, with nothing concrete. So they finally released something concrete... Joe

Spansion already talked about selling their packaging operations to a third party in the past, the announcement of today is just a confirmation that such a deal is as good as finished.

I was thinking that at this juncture when Investor Confidence is at an All Time High and they are jumping into the Market with both feet on all the Buy Buy Buy Recommendations ... And There's Forced Selling at every turn for the Sake of Liquidity ...
