Just got back from the premiere at the Royal Festival Hall. Boy, what a night. I had amazing seats, which always helped - second row, far left of the right hand block - about 12 feet from Brian. The band opened with 'Girl Don't Tell Me' - completely unexpected, one of the most underrated Beach Boys songs. I knew it was going to be a good one from this point on. Lots of songs played...

I got a disc that has no scratches but has an unsightly cloudy "haze" over it. What's the best way to remove that?

I know I did. I bought records and tapes until 1985. I remember standing in line at "The Warehouse" record store and noticing a small selection of CD's. I had asked what they were, and the guy in front of me was said "you better get used to those, pretty soon that's what everyone will be listening to.. they won't even have records or tapes anymore.." I was shocked and offended. I told him ...

Ok, so Ive picked up alot of useful tips and information here when it comes to what is the definitive version of certain albums on CD on this website. There are a ton of threads that go on and on about how great the Diament Zep CD's are so I figured Id check them out. I found a copy of LZI and excitedly popped it in. Well, the channels are backwards, which is a pretty huge mistake to me. How ...

If the vinyl growth trend continues, it's only a matter of time before the Major Labels reissue much of their back catalog on vinyl. But the question is, will they go back to the vaults and use the original masters, or the same master they've used to issue CDs. Or will they remaster the records? I hope fans demand high quality, or the reissues could be a disaster.

thenewno2 (Dhani Harrison's band) have posted a video of a recent performance at the Key Club in LA. You can get an idea of how the band's material is developing. http://www.absolutelydhaniharrison.c...September.h tml (prerecorded Morrissey is playing on the PA system before the show starts)

Tomorrow, despite Tropical Storm Hannah, I'm going to meet Micky Dolenz, thanks to a tip from our own Sneaky Pete. From what I'm told, it's going to be a setting where he'll be accessible, so now I'm wracking my brain, wondering what on Earth I should say to this man after 36 years of fandom. My 10 yr old thinks it would be nice to ask him what his favorite Monkees song is/was, which ...

I don't know what happened to our last outlet for news and speculation, but I'd be interested to hear any and all opinions and info concerning them! That is, until we get the first of them this fall!

WOW! Funny....it's been quite a while since I played Supertramp Crime of the Century. Popped it on the turntable and after it was over was left with the feeling that all the genius in rock is gone, or maybe the best has passed us buy. What a fantastic album, what great song writing and musicans. Music should all be this satisfying. I listen to quite a bit of "current" music and have ...

I wanted to get specific, and start a thread to address the topic of "songs with great bass intros". I start off with: Zeppelin's "Dazed And Confused"

At the risk of being overly morose, let's suppose you know in advance the exact moment you will pass away, give or take a few minutes. What would be the last song you would want to hear? Would it be uptempo? A ballad? A classical work? Something anti-climactic? Mine would probably be "Hey Jude", btw. Dan

I just saw this train-wreck of a thread that a moderator had to close: http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/sh...22#post3757 922 Many mistakes were made in that thread by posters who know better. We don't want this happening again here. If the original thread starter felt he was being called out in the thread unfairly or harassed by someone with an (obvious) Axe to grind, he ...
