Cypress I get what you're saying; for the life of me after all my therapy I still don't know what my alleged "deeper issues" might be. But I just want to ask you about this bit: I only developed an ED when I hit puberty and my body changed, and I didn't like the way it looked anymore. This is not a small thing, to my mind. Why do you think you didn't like the notion of your body developing from childhood...

As the others said, you dont have to tell him right now. Its three weeks into the relationship. You dont know him, he doesnt know you. If things heat up, tell him. If not dont worry.

Anakalia, Kudos to you for recovering from an ED! That's awesome. Oh I'm so sorry to hear this. I like you was told I'd never be able to play tennis again when I had rotator cuff surgery, and had to quit the college team. I took a few years off and I was able to return to tennis. I loved it like you......however lately dance has become my passion and many times I'm finding it more enjoyable than tennis. It's certainly...

Food allergies?
Published (2009-11-26 04:44:00)
I have to be honest, your dairy avoidance is totally disordered. You don't seem to care about possible allergies, you're just using it as an excuse to avoid high-calorie food. Why do you have to cut out all dairy, just because a lot of junk food contains dairy ingredients? What's wrong with skim milk, yogurt, low-fat cheese? If you eliminate dairy for no reason, where is your calcium supposed to come from? Lactose intolerance or...

I am raaaaaggging today.
Ever since I've decided to go for longer then three days of being binge free, I've been cranky and frustrated. I'm not exactly being mean to anyone right now, but I defiantly want to go somewhere and pout. It'll be damn worth it though. So, today marks day three, and I'm having some daily life frustrations, but I'm not going to my usual coping method.
No siree. ...

I am at peace this Thanksgiving day. My mom passed away early Tuesday morning and she is no longer in pain, despair and is at peace. As hard as it is to lose her and despite the issuess surrounding her, I am Thankful that her struggle is over and she can be with my dad whom she has longed to be with since his passing ten years ago.

Therapy is different for different people--depends on the client, the therapist, the problem area, etc. so I am going to turn this back to you with several questions to help you figure out whether the way YOUR therapy is going feels helpful to YOU:
Are you comfortable with your therapist?
Are there certain topics which lead you to say less? Is it when you want to avoid discussing things...

Kushika ,
I wanted to wish you the best of luck with your surgery. I had a general anesthetic in February and these are just some of my experiences.
You will be nil by mouth before your op, but in some cases, this may be only a few hours or so, I had emergency surgery and was starved beforehand for only a matter of hours. I can imagine that you may be required to be nil by mouth from...

Jessica - Lots of great self-reflection and insight into your anxiety around visiting your family. I'm not sure why it is, but it does seem like there is often some underlying comparisons or competition between sisters regarding looks and weight. It seems like you have a good handle on this and see the history and realize that in the larger scheme, you like your life, etc. It's strange how...

just guess how many are in the dinner. It will do you good.
think of the worst possible outcome of you not knowing the calorie intake of one meal.
I promise you it will be ok.
Personally i would make an extra calorie allowance for the meal
and then if i don't think i had as many calories as i intended to i would make it up later.

Welcome and I am so sorry you are going thru such a
horrible time. A marriage ending is a brutal time.
Perhaps you need to see your doctor and be honest
with them as whatever your problem is its always
best to get some help.
We can listen and provide encouragement and support
if you do in fact have an ED.
Good luck and god bless.

findfreedom I am sorry you are hurting so much. You are not alone in these thoughts but I know that does not help right now. Do you know why your anxiety etc... is so high right now? Has something happened? Do you want to talk about it?

What a positive post!
This is so wonderful to read. I noticed for myself, too, that I'm mostly attracted to women who have some curves....curves ARE beautiful and womanly!

Wow. Good luck with all of those. Sounds like you are having a busy day. The newspaper or a magazine is always good. Or a trash romance novel if that is your jam. They are cheesy, entertaining, and but bring out the girly girl in me

We have been giving warnings to members for years now about the danger of putting too much personal information in their posts. When this site first started there was no Google or major search engines for the Web but now they are so powerful they can search out words, phrases, etc.
This is why we warn people to not:

There are so many different types of talents someone can have - I find it hard to believe you are truly talentless
I thought i was talentless too. I was a horrible cheerleader in high school, I never learned how to play an instrument, and I couldn't sing. I was so absorbed in ED, I didn't do anything else, I was too scared to try and part of me didn't care. I truly felt talentless... ...

It sounds like you are very fortunate to not have passed
out while driving or some other worse situation.
I hope you can see that this is a dangerous situation that
you dont want to find yourself in again.
How can you put a plan in effect to keep you safer?
Good luck and god bless.
