Unattached vs Club
Published (2009-11-21 16:11:00)
That is interesting that some belong to a club but its not affiliated to UK Athletics. I wonder if there will be a day when you can start a club or a team that doesn`t require UKA but maybe with UK Sport or Sport England as a affiliated sports club. Then you can enter not just running but other sports too.

Yeah I know the feeling, been off my feet for 5 days as felt a stabbing pain in the ankle joint when running. (However no pain at all other than when running). So I went out oday at lunchtime, everything totally fine until 3.5 miles in and suddenly felt the ankle again. Exactly the same as before v sharp pain. Crossed road to the pavement with less camber and carried on and it felt ok until the ...

RM that was hard work to read! Don't race organiser like unattached runners as they pay more to enter these races?, I run for a club that is not affiliated to the AFA (think that who runs this show) but i always put them down as my club but don't get a race discount. I know a few people in running clubs they never seem to commit to a race till about a week before and most like races they can...

KK, so what is your goal and where are you going to run? My goal, run sub 3:30 in a spring marathon. I am running Lochaber in April. I then want to go sub 3:25 in an Autumn marathon, but not decided which one yet. My PB is 3:42, achieved in 2008. So I need to get 12 minutes from this over the next few weeks.

I mean basically, why do we feel so repulsed (generalisation) with cultures that eat our animal 'friends'? It is hypocrisy isn't it, however uncomfortable it makes us feel?
