Rsphotocreation, I'm no expert by any means. But, here are my thoughts: - good overall execution of the graphic elements; - colors are a bit flat, not enough variation to make the browns interesting; - a little lacking in what I would call "interest", "draw"... I'm just not sure what the connection is between the dancers and the new taste of chocolate.... could there be some other way of...

Bruce, Welcome to RetouchPRO! Hope you enjoy your stay here and make lots of friends.
You might use a vaporizer or humidifier in a small room (bathroom) to raise the humidity it might relax considerably over a few days.
Do a search using the search button at the top of the page... this has been discussed many times on the forum.

As usual this was really hard to judge, great job everyone.
1. Ruzzez - Nice and simple, also good depth
2. CFarr - I like the softer shades they seem a little less intense
3. Lorraine - Nice and simple, good colors
4. Philbach - Very realistic leaves on the path.
5. designcafe - I really like the color of the tree on the right, nice leaves on the path, but I think I see cloning trails.

Try working in CMYK. Lasso an area, create a new layer, and work with the individual area.

I did some research and the best I can come up with is late 1880s. It might be as late as 1915. But the fact that it is a tintype may belie that fact, although my great grandmother's engagement photo is a tintype. And I know when that one was taken. If you want to research more, the coat is called a double-breasted frock coat.
In any case, good luck.

Depending on the method you are using for D&B you are likely to get some color shift. What most people do in that case is to add a blank layer set to color blend mode and paint over those areas where the color has shifted by sampling adjacent good color. Adjust the opacity of the layer to tweak the overall effect.
