Thanks, Richard. I have taken away lots from this board, time to give a little back. Systech, I am using IGO 8, which came with the GPS unit. Is there a better map program out there? Is Tomtom or Destinator better? I haven't used those.

This post has been edited by Jinster : Yesterday, 03:43 PM

QUOTE (nick49 @ Nov 21, 2009 - 09:35 PM) From your vid, it looks exactly like steam from coolant leaking into the combustion chamber. I hope I'm wrong. I've been thru this with my car. What was the outcome, in effort and money, in your case?

Loren, Looks like a trip to Ruf is in store. Hopefully I don't have a problem somewhere in the wiring harness. There are a couple of places online that appear to sell Porsche wiring diagrams. Can you perhaps recommend a specific site or vendor. Thanks again for your quick replies and all the help. R- Bill Underwood

Hello all, Well I changed the battery and the problems still persist, but have changed a bit. I would appreciate any advice or direction. - Lost "Comfort" selection from the vehicle setting menu (no alarm, door unlock choices, etc) - Moonroof will not open - Alarm does not function at all (no LEDs, key fob functions) - Tail lights will not operate (only go on/off randomly) - Liftgate and glass will not open - Fuel door...

My key fob flashes green as well. This is normal when the fob is transmitting by pressing any of the remote buttons.

QUOTE (TXGold @ Sep 14, 2007 - 06:28 AM) Maurice. Thank you very much for you detailed tips and help. Have a great weekend, and I'll try to remember I'm having fun this weekend when I'm busting up my knuckles:). Reprising an old thread, but did this help alleviate wind noise? If so, what adjustments were made? Thanks

SORRY - I AM ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR A CR-210 or CDR-210 (with the cassette deck or single CD). Looking to replace the PO's aftermarket Kenwood with the OEM radio. I don't know if that means the CR or CDR, but either should work with the CD changer in the front trunk. Would prefer a radio with the code and keys and wiring, if available. Let me know what you've got! Also willing to trade...

I got sick of not having cupholders in my Boxster. So I set out to find some. The options seemed to be OEM cupholders, either the clip on type, or the single DIN type. And we all know the problems with those - not secure enough fit, not accommodating large cups, etc. Also, the DIN type takes up an entire vertical DIN slot, making fitting double DIN GPS impossible. Other solutions seem to be...

1. No, it is either on or off. 2. It is rare for the engine purge fan to come on at all. Have you checked the car for OBD II fault codes? Many times a faulty sensor (or wiring) will cause a P1675 fault code. Check the relay also - relay 8 on the DME/Relay panel behind the carpet - behind the rear seats. Relay 8 will be second row second relay in from the left (996.615.102.00 - same as the ...

How old is your battery? One sure sign of a failing battery (on Cayennes') is miscellaneous electrical problems. If your battery is over 4 years old I would start there.

WWW.KBB.COM has it listed in the low 50's. The cars ultimate value is only what someone is willing to pay at any given time and the haste at which the sale needs to be made. Offer 40 and see what happens. The interior color will take some getting used to. James Greer

The belt will stretch a little when it's warm. I would check the pulleys to make none have any wobble and replace the belt with the Porsche version.

I would try it again - sometimes control modules have trouble initializing even with the Porsche tools. Also, make sure you have the latest Durametric update (they are free).
