We've used compressor to re-render _M resolution proxies to DNX_36 Quicktimes. Use metacheater to get the metadata into Avid as an ALE, then batch 'fast' import the DNX quicktimes. There is a known conflict with the durrent DNX codecs, which is reported to be fixed in the 3.05 release of Avid, due in a few weeks (?) There is also a known problem with the red quicktime component at ...

(maybe at a FisherPrice level so I can understand). Is Cineform saying that their format is better then directly working with the R3D files? Is it that much faster at that high of a quality? Like being able to edit and ...

I have got a 1TB, and a 500GB WD drive, and have not failed me for almost 2 drives. It might be stupid, but I haven't ever had anything really "backed up" before, on multiple drives. LaCies have been problems with me though.

Photographers will appreciate the cinematic qualities that come from the 24fps frame rate, which matches theatrical film, whether producing vacation clips or ...

Hi guys, we´ve just detected a little problem with out new Red: There is some play between the Red Shoulder Dovetail and the Red Bottom Plate when mounted together with the quick release closed. It is not possible to fasten the quick release of the Dovetail in a way the there is no movement between those two parts, which leaves the whole construction to be somewhat shaky on the tripod. Is...
