We live in Houston and are watching the hurricane. If we don't "have" to evacuate, I am concerned that we may not have power for a few days. What would I do for my beardie? Is there a website that I can go to or can you tell me how to prepare? How many days can he go without his lights? He is about 12 inches long, a few months old. I don't want to lose him and I have read horror stories ...

OK...1 week left. Who's serious about going? I know the rest of you would love to go, but to keep this easy, please, just those who actually can and want to go post, so that I can get a head count, and see about making some reservations.

Quick question.....I mixed a pack of sphagnum moss and a brick of ecoearth, soaked it, and stuck in in Riley's tank. I left it somewhat damp...but not dripping too much. Anyway a week and a half / two weeks later....its got blue/green mold growing on it!!! So I ran to the petstore right away and got some ecoearth mulch blocks to put in there and I disinfected/bleached everything, but I'm just ...

Got this bite on Saturday from Esmeralda, my female Dumeril's. I was helping her with her shed and she decided to let me know that she was not pleased. My bad, my fault. Anyways, I tried to get a pic with her still attached, but my wife wasn't quick enough. She held on for about half a minute. It bled quite a bit, but has healed quite nicely. Oh, and here is a recent pic of Esmeralda.

For some reason as soon as we moved into the new apartment he's in and out of his water tub all the time, sometimes soaking/swimming all day. It's pretty cute to watch (and makes his skin so much prettier)! I'm definitely going to have to figure out a way to get a bigger tub in there now that he actually gets in it.

So I finally decided that the time was right to get the snake I've always dreamt of, my favorite of all species, the only one I've waited well over 10 years to acquire, until I knew the time was just right, living situation was optimal, and that I had enough practice.... Here are a couple quick shots of him right after I put him into his new home (for now) to chill and quarantine...He seems ...
