The Jockster has made it no secret that the Reds will be pursuing at least one big-impact outfielder in the off-season. The way I see it, if the Reds don't acquire a big bat for the middle of the lineup, the off-season was a failure. Ideally, I think this player would come from the free agent market so the Reds wouldn't have to lose players who could contribute to the big league club some time...

I do like DeJesus and although OBM is correct about his range, it's not terribly bad but definitely not ideal out there, he would be a nice top of the lineup bat. MLBTR.com Twins may shop Young this winter for a shortstop. Young didn't put up steller numbers, but a league switch and a hitter friendly ballpark might see results in the power department. He is only 23 and might be a good gamble if the Reds don't want to give the farm up for Holliday or spend a lot on a FA. The money saved on a move like this could mean a middle of the rotation...
