I've been playing around with hornresp and have come up with a design. It's about 1/4 the size of an ideal exponential horn with similar bandwidth (bottom roll-off is about 5hz higher) and approximately 5-6db less output. What I'm trying to figure out is how to flatten out the ripples in the response. Here's the first horn. It's a hyperbolic flare and would be the ideal horn, but this thing is huge, 6809L (240 ft^3)....

Great job for your first ported enclosure. I like the dowel bracing. If you don't mind me giving you a tip, try using a roundover bit on the port mouth. I usually use at least a 3/4 radius bit on my boxes.

I got the a bass knob for it, same as 3000gti, they don't make the wire though so i'm stuck on how to install it. Haven't hooked up the amp yet but when i do they said you can splice a cat 5e cable, cut otu the 4 wires that go to other things, and put it to a phone line and plug it into the knob and have it work. The pdf has some info on what the 8 wires do so i figure eh take maybe 20-30 times...

can you post pictures please ? & from what i understand it is not nesecary but it is highly reccomended that you round off the edges of the port to allow the air to flow more smoothly rather than it passing on a solid sharp not round edge it passes a smooth curve. i hope i helped ...
