One cool feature of the Miranda was its ability to use all of those Carl Zeiss Jena, Angenieux, Schneider, etc. Exacta mount auto diaphragm lenses and retain the auto diaphragm function. If only it'd retained auto diaphragm with the Pentax adapter also. I wonder what the Miranda Girl looks like these days. Would she have such a sultry look as she shoots her grandkids with her little digi point & shoot?

You went to school for accounting right? You didn't just pick up an Excel spreadsheet and start fooling around right? Just because you have access to the equipment doesn't mean you will be good. Most, though not all, people interested in photography need some kind of training (just look at the photos posted on the forum). As someone who studied formally and now teaches privately as well as works professionally I can't say enough...

I am new to using an Amedeo adapter, so this thread is very useful. Thanks. The J-9 85/2 seems to work fine.

75mm lens, Why do you use it?
Published (2009-11-23 11:43:16)
Because 35 + 75 is an ideal two lens combo. Because the 75/1.4 is my all-time favorite lens signature-wise. 35 + 90 would be similarly usable. But 75 is easier to frame on an RF.

Well, I just picked up a Walz Envoy 35 with 4.8cm F1.9 Lens. I don't know which other Japanese Fixed Lens RF's have Sonnars on them. This one even has the 7-element in 3-group formula engraved on the top plate. Waiting for it in the Mail! Maybe in time for Thanksgiving.

As a former painter I'll say the paint & brushes do matter. Just like the lenses matter to us- if one is concerned about the way their work looks one chooses particular tools. Think a Pentax Point & Shoot on Kodak Gold 200 vs a Summicron 35 pre-ASPH on Velvia.

42 years next month -- but I hope the maintenance I do is better than 'wrenching'! I do minor work and minor services myself but use a specialist BMW mechanic for the big stuff. I've had my current bike (R100RS) for 26 years. Cheers, R.

The following is a photo contest category description: "Open to all subject matter and all photographic approaches, this is a completely open category where you can enter images that you feel best fulfil the category title. These could be fine-art images, nudes, single images from photographic projects or images from nature – as long as the approach is contemporary ." (highlighting by me)...
