Get the S/C side grilles as a mismatch is not the way to go. Either both Vogue/HSE or both S/C. IMHO. Just added my OEM S/C side grilles to match the grille and what a difference it made. Love em now they match.

Leaving a door open will disable the EAS and stop it adjusting. This wouldn't happen to be a left hand rear would it - i.e. the opposite side from the fuel filler?

If neither screen turns on it could be a bad RSE module, I can't imagine both plugs for the rear LCDs coming loose off the RSE module at the same time. Have you tried to switch video inputs using either the remote or the supervisor menu on the front monitor, to see if you get any output at all? And you are absolutely sure the monitors are turned on, yes? The only other reason I could think of for video feed on te rear screens to die is...

Sotal. Sounds like you're in the market for contacting JE Engineering in the UK for a rebuild on your 'donk' if anything else is faulty ? ? They do an awesome overhaul option on the P38 block to 4.8ltr's engine capacity & this might be a sensible option considering ! Cheerio, Vinniman '88 Highline Perth, W.A.

as far as which is better, there's a long-standing feud in the p38 forum (search, it's the most prolific topic I think, many threads....) some call coil conversions castration, some call them an improvement. I won't get into that and I can't comment on the ride in a MkIII as I've never been in a converted one. As far as a US dealer, I have rebuilt airsprings for 1/2 the cost of OEM new, OEM ...

Since the X5M and Q7 do not have low ranges or any attempt at off roading, you can't compare them to the RR. They should be better around a race track and far worse off road.

i think the RRS (and LR3 for that matter) are the exceptions to the previous LR reputation for reliability and repairs. there are a good number of us with early model RRS that have had very little problems. my wife drives a 2000 BMW 540i. i would say it's at least as comparable to that E39 to keep the RRS purring. didn't JD Powers rank the RRS #2 in its class for dependability?

I wonder that all the time with some cars I see. A candy red classic, some P38's with some custom jobs, and I reckon I see Rufant at least once a fortnight in his LSE.

Too rich means not enough air getting in. Perhaps that new air filter isn't as free flowing as its maker claims?

Would have thought on a 19" Rim you would need to run a 45 Profile at least otherwise your overall diameter is far to small, 40 Profile on a 20" Rim. Cheers

Piece of cake. I got the rotors and pads from Advance Auto and knocked out the front and rear in a couple of hours. Just to spoil your party a little bit, your iPhone 3GS will not charge through the iPod connector, and while the phone will pair with the BT module, you may not always get the call routed through the car's speakers when you answer. Congratulations, looking forward to the pictures.

I've heard two excuses for Nitrogen in tyres, first one was for racing cars because its lighter and doesn't attract moisture , and the second was even better in that the molecules were bigger and less likely to leak out of the valve and tyre both of which mean nothing in the real world. Air is suprisingly good for the job and if you are lucky it's free

Intresting turn of events, I removed the leaking Air Bag, first off I'm surprised at how easy it was to remove. Anyway I see nothing wrong with the bag where it was leaking around the top plastic seal part, it's clean. The next thing which I found to be very intresting is that the bags on the back of the car are Arnott's, the question is which Arnott's are they, and don't they have a life time ...

Here's a pic of my '97 Vittesse. I replaced the 18" Stars with 2008 HSE 19's and Conti's. The tire diameter is identical to my original Scorps, so I retained an 18" and Scorpion as my spare. I was able to buy the 19's as new car "take-offs", with less than 100 miles on them, for what I would have paid for a decent set of new tires. 206k and still kickin'! Just did a 6k road trip loaded both ...
