Spoiler Apparently if you do Dwarf Noble and put Harrowmont on the throne, then at the end ask your boon to be something for the dwarves, you are declared a living Paragon by the Assembly and Harrowmont names you his heir, reinstating your titles and everything. /Spoiler

Oh that was quite brilliant I'm rather fascinated by music theory and how the brain interprets and understands music, so the rest of the panel discussion is quite interesting to me too. There's one point raised during Part 4 of the discussion where they say how it's odd that western music has generally evolved from a big group, community, participatory thing into "active entertainer entertains passive...

I have had a few cases of "timeout". I use Firefox, and I am told that the page takes to long to load or that the server timed out. Other than that, no problems.

The fansite Dark Reign 40K has recently received a C&D-letter from GW Legal eventhough it is about roleplaying games from Fantasy Flight Games.
And no, GW Legal didn't contact FFG about darkreign40k.com before they sent the C&D, nor after they sent the letter.

Orl can upgrade his armor to plate and the good sister to chain; Sarah takes the crossbow with the ammo, our bow users can take the extra arrows and everybody takes two healing potions. After we're done here I'm for checking out the bridge.

I think the reactions against it are totally unjustified, personally. I see the Red Matter as a McGuffin, so what it actually is matters far less than how other characters treat it. The physicist I went to see the movie with saw it slightly differently. He went "eh, it's exotic matter. Big deal, no problem there" and shrugged.
The fan response I've seen against it -- some even here, IIRC ...

Buddy, just check their ancestries.
Galadriel is a Noldor, a Ring-Bearer, granddaughter of both Finwe and Olwe, one of the most powerful beings in the cosmos, who probably could have smoked Sauron in a D&D-esque battle if such things were appropriate for cosmic beings in Middle-Earth (thankfully, such is not their milieu).
Celeborn has an uncertain ancestry. He's most likely Sindar, which ...

Fast zombies.
Without the tool use of Night of the Living Dead slow zombies are little more than cattle and any threat that can be defeated with a dry stone wall isn't a threat.

I played a Rogue and pretty much acted like a charming self-interested asshole who nevertheless always said the right thing at the right time (which is no different from saying the right thing at the right time but "KNOWING" my motivation made it fun).

Uhm, lessee..
Use on mage as dps/healer or pure healer to keep people alive, and one warrior as tank with the heaviest armor you got.
Without spoiling character names, the party I used most was Blood Mage/Spirit Healer mage (the pc), 2h sword warrior, Alistair as tank and rogue/bard as archer/buffer/locksmith. Blood Magic is really powerful once you get last 2 spells, but your character ...

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell. The setting is changed to the modern day. Instead of Strange going off to fight in the peninsular war he goes to Afghanistan to fight terrorists. The magic is much more "special-effectsy". Most of the plot is excised from the book and several chracters are simply dropped from the narrative. Strange is turned into an American and played by Keanu Reeves. Someone dual...

The lonely timelord going off the deep end is an interesting angle but ... that was actually the worst episode I've seen. It was just too confused and confusing -- and I think it really suffered from him not having a companion to talk over his thought process with. Also, the carrot of doom.
They've actually managed to make me lose interest now in the next pair of episodes and consider skipping...

Well, that was a cool intro graphics show, with very impressive music indeed! Even though the Grey Wardens are pretty cliche right now, I gotta say their fight scene got the blood pumping.
Now I begin as a Level 1 noob, with no idea of what the world is like.
