I saw this as well this morning.......I work in the DCIU
building up form the station and as I was walking from my car the catenary "snapped" and vibrated up and down a couple of feet as the train was passing the Swarthmore Ave crossing...it made a very loud almost star wars laser blaster sound that actually statled me. Interesting, although I would think that this has to be motivated by something other than the
resumption of train service. A utility ROW perhaps?

Many additional substations were constructed in anticipation of the M-7's arrival and as far as I recall, they caused few problems. This was not the case, however with the
M-3's and they caused MANY power problems upon arrival. For may years whenever two 12 car M-3 trains operated in the same power block they would trip the power which would have to be reset.
