What should be the optimal pricing for semi-furnished apts in this area (kitchen/woodwork done) - is it worth paying 5200rs per sq ft? (and 2% dealer commission) 2. How good is the apt complex ...

I think people should just consider Rental Apartment/House cost as Living expense cost as done by DosaiLvr. I see many people using mortgage payments of 50k-1L which is actually a kind of investment and not totally an expense. And in an Indian context where the rent or own calculations are really skewed , it makes more sense to use the rent rather than EMI .

Kids can adjust very well to the school system here as long as they are young *< grade 6-7). The quality of education is going down in India. Kids are feeling more pressure at young age. Not sure if it is worth it. The depth of education is more here. In abroad the breadth is more providing kids a well rounded development.

The August 11 issue of India Today is a must read for all Indians and especially prospective R2Is. http://indiatoday.digitaltoday.in/in...&page=archi eve India displays its shameful lack of political will to confront the growing threat of radical Islam even as it becomes the easiest target of jihad, writes S. Prasannarajan . The current crisis in Kashmir is another example ...
