Yes, but as someone who has been watching this stuff for quite some time, the market really has tanked. Reels that are in the high ranges of the Shocker Log now sell for prices that don't even make the list. Same with some Q8's. I think that the days of high-ticket quad stuff have passed, mostly because of conversions by fans. The next wave of shockers will be the SACD's and DVD-A's that the manufacturer's stupidly...

Again, I'm happy to have Vai on film, and I'll always have the live show I attended in my mind, but as many have said, the BD could have been better. Issuing something on BD nowadays without at least DTS and 1080p as the standard is just wrong. I just watched part of the BD of Certifiable and was amazed at the quality! Nice video, nice audio! Truly a reference disc! Dan

Steve Vai "Where The Wild...

After playing the plain old DVD of the Police's Certifiable last night, I came to the conclusion that this Vai disc was a waste of time and money. It really does have a wimpy mix and the picture quality is not that impressive. I guess some bands get it right and some don't when it comes to capturing a live performance.

Men Without Hats LP?
Published (2009-11-19 23:47:00)
Hi everyone, This may seem strange, but I'm trying to get a copy of the Men Without Hats album The Adventures Of Women and Men Without Hats In The 21st Century on good ol' lp/vinyl in sealed condition. Again I must ask if the members of this forum in Canada might be able to assist me. I would like to give this to my brother as a gift, his favorite album from that time period. There is one copy on Ebay, but I would really prefer a...

Where did you hear this? Keith mentioned some unreleased stuff being on it but in the recent Sound and Vision article there was no mention of any kind of 5.1.

Thanks for that link!
Always an avid fan Ian Anderson, I never delved into the song from that angle. Rather deep individual isn't he?
I must now re-visit his entire discography for hidden gems.
Nahhh, I'll wait for you to send me more links!!

Keywords: Sweeping, majestic, introspective, romantic, pastoral
The Camino Records promotional summary above spells out most of the details including where this album fits into the Genesis album release history. Similar to the way Steve Hackett's solo album (1975's Voyage Of The Acolyte) was used to bridge a band ...

Specifically, I was wondering if better results are achieved by pointing the microphones that record rear channel information away from the stage, either towards the back of the hall or to the sides.
I'd say that is the standard technique, yes.
One tip I heard for A/B setup with cardio mikes, is to line up left surround with right front...

NOTE: " Imaginary Day" is a DVD-A, not SACD.

Hmmm....it appears the release date for this has been delayed!?!?!?!?!?
Or is Amazon just screwing with me.
I've canceled the Amazon order and went with burning shed. Something is up. Red wouldn't even ship until the end of the month while burning shed is already shipping them.

I got mine this morning at Best Buy ($99.00). They had to go and "find" one, there were none out at around 11am. I have a feeling these will be hard to find, as the BB dude said that they only got about 5 copies in, and 2 were reserved for folks. However, at $99, I don't think they'll be flying off the shelves to "normal" buyers!
It's a very impressive package, the size of a 12x12 LP box ...
