I just sent one of the weirdest texts ever. This evening, a friend called me that I had not heard from in over a year. Turns out she'd called and emailed and I never got her messages. Anyway, some time ago, we did a porn party at her house with a group of friends where we had some dinner and watched a bunch of bad porn and generally criticized the actors, their techniques, etc. Good times! I had brought some more peculiar titles from my...

I haven't gotten it in writing or anything, but my supervisor met with me today to say that starting in January they are planning to be giving me a significant raise as well if I agree to a slightly larger caseload (instead of the normal 14 clients I will need to carry 17). This is definitely not something I expected to hear at all and really took me by surprise. Especially with the way the economy is these days. I have been carrying this...

Is there anyone else here who loves visiting and / or reviewing things on Yelp ? I am so addicted it is embarrassing. I joined in 2008 but didn't get crazy obsessed till last summer. Now I have almost 300 reviews, and it's be a lot more if I didn't force myself to only do one or 2 a day... eek!

Tonight I may go out for a bit, but not sure. Tomorrow I am helping my ex pack up his stuff (he leaves next weekend for good). I'm dreading it. He's barely speaking to me. It's going to be such a disaster and it's making me sick. Tomorrow night I'm going out for a friend's bday (at least there is something to look forward to after!) and Sunday I'm meeting a friend for lunch who I haven't seen in way too...

In my group of friends it's babies. Holy cow, everyone is getting pregnant! I actually just got married (sorry!) and did notice a lot of people I knew getting married but I figured it was because I was looking for it. I was in "wedding mode" and my world revolved around weddings for a while.

I wonder now exactly how much less trouble you would be in for insurance
fraud compared to attempted double homicide.

Uh oh, must one quantify exactly how lackluster their life really is? "Dry spell" would be an understatement to characterize my current situation. I don't need to have sex, so I've been pretty much doing just fine. It just gets pretty dull to go through life as a confirmed spinster.

For a minute there I thought you were going to ask her to move in with you...when you were talking about her moving back with her parents and all...but yeah, this is a tough call.
I would offer though, and the least she can do is decline the offer if she really doesn't want you to see the rest of her life just yet. It would be a sweet gesture, and she might appreciate the help. If she ...

How much have the two of you talked about this? From your post, it sounds like you haven't talked about it much (I could be wrong). Sounds like you're both having your own discussions...but not really together.
Have you asked him if he thinks he'll resent you eventually, if he stays? I know you can't really predict if one will resent another over time...

I'm finally breaking my silence on this issue. I have been very quiet on the health care bill up to now because the idiotic rhetoric being spewed in the media up to now makes me so angry that I can't even think about it without going into extremely long strings of vulgarity.
But here is my question--if this bill is so bad for people our age, then what are uninsured people who need to go to the...

I don't think I have an allergy per se, but I know there are certain foods that if I eat, are automatically not going to agree with me. Most of them tend to fall in the fast-food variety category. I try to make a concious effort to avoid these places when I get a craving, or carry food in my bag/bring lunch to work.
I also tend to overeat sometimes in certain settings, which will ...

I met a guy from an internet dating site for a couple of hours, then went to a last minute midnight bbq at a friend's place, who is moving to another country on Monday!
A good Friday night but definitely not a typical one.. usually if I don't feel like doing anything I'll stay at home and do nothing too

I think having friends is a good thing. This may not be true of you, but the majority of people are happier when they have a few good interpersonal relationships with others. It's good to have more than one person you can count on if you're in a jam. Did you have friends before you got married? What happened to them?
I've had some of my friends since childhood, and I've added a couple along...

I have one suit for interviews. It is charcoal and pretty basic. I also have a seersucker suit. I use it for weddings and such. Nice for summer type weather. I really never wear them though. They just hang in my closet year in and year out. So I have two.
I can't imagine having to wear a suit for work everyday. That must suck!

<QUOTE>Experts on relationships and human sexuality said that while we may not be wired to stay faithful to one partner for a lifetime, we can make a conscious decision to do so -- a choice that still comes with powerful emotional, biological and economic benefits.</QUOTE>
