HELP OUR PUG SADIE HATES RIDING IN THE CAR, SHE GETS ALL WONKY, STARTS PANTING, AND I WORRY SHE IS GOING TO GIVE HERSELF A HEART ATTACK. Hey there, I have a ca-westion... Oz is a pretty healthy guy, he eats a good diet, but he just seems a little thin to me. He is fed Raw, and the last time we went to the vet he weighed 22ish pounds. According to the research I have done in factoring how much food they should be eating, you take 2% of the dogs weight, and that makes up the weight the dog should be eating. (this is ...

As of Sept. there will be no Poison Control Center in CA. That is because of the budget problems here. That is just awful. CA is in the worst shape of all the states. We are working without a budget again and it is so bad that the Secretary of State has issued IOUs to the state employees. The lawmakers, especially the Big 5 can't decide on anything. No one can agree on anything. And ...

And I know they were talking about Fizz! Okay, so that was a joke, but finding three fleas ircks me!! I have lived up here since 1996 and have always talked about how this area does not have fleas or ticks. Then, I hear they have them very bad and have deer ticks to boot. I have always been careful and taken all precautions and have never seen a flea. Linda's Liver Treat recipe has...

We built our house 2 1/2 years ago put natural hardwood in our kitchen, dining, hallway and foyer area, with carpet in our bedrooms and living room. We adopted Grace 6 months after we moved in and since then she has done quite a number on ruining our living room carpeting!! It's totally destroyed from her potty accidents! Had we known how much we'd love the hardwood, we'd have put it...

This is Rex. We got him today from a shelter down in the Rio Grande Valley. He's about 7 years old. He has an appointment with our wonderful doggy opthalmalogist on Monday but he sure is miserable and hurting in the mean time. If anyone has any suggestions on amounts of a painkiller that we could give him please let me know. The only thing we have here that we know is ok for pugs is ...

Just requesting a few prayers. I brought Otis to the vet on Friday when I noticed 2 small bumps on his belly that were red one day and not red the next, and firm like extra nipples. She did a needle biopsy and sure enough they are mast cell. He is having them removed on Friday. Im trying no to worry too much but there are 2, maybe 3 lesions, and those are only ones I can see. Plus ...

Nothing too serious here. Makayla's leg hasn't improved this week so we'll take her in on Monday; she'll spend the day at the vet, have a light sedative, a good thorough ortho exam and possibly xrays. Depending on what the findings are - who knows what's next. So if you all could say a few good thoughts for Kayla on Monday that it's nothing too serious, we'd appreciate it.

I picked up our 400th pug today. Her name is Punky and the name fits. She is a bundle of enregy and happiness. I would never have believed that we would have rescue 400 pugs in under 2 1/2 years. I am not sure if we should be happy or sad. Cindy www.pughearts.com

Well, the outfield fence at the ballfield has been up for a while now, but the boys and I held off on doing the dedication ceremony until the final home game of the season. Coltons final home game and possibly Skyler's at this school. It was a very hectic, hurried day to say the least with all the running I had to do. And the game was definitely an emotional one for me. Colton has ...

Did anyone watch today? I did. I thought it was done real well without making it a circus. I think Brooke Shields probably did the best in speaking of him on his human side. Did you see his casket? Oh my, gold plated. I think they said it was $30,000. If you could have kept Al Sharpton out of it. That guy. The more he spoke the louder he got. But most everyone did a very good job either...
