Aaaaaarh LBH that is absolutely fantastic!.....Congratuations. Listen, i can swim, my dad taught me and my two sisters when we were very young. However i wouldn't call myself a strong swimmer, and i hate to be out of my depth. I think the reason for this is when we started swimming at school....it was Junior school, the instructor was teaching us all to swim with our heads under water. I could not grasp this even though i could swim. So...

Depression is not so much a "mental illness" as it is your body failing to manufacture feel good neurotransmitters such as serotonin . It cannot be "cured" by psycho-babble or medications in most cases. An alternative is: Depression is a Nutritional Disorder Depression is a Disease of Energy Production and ask for a referral to a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or a Nutritional Psychologist, if...

I donât know what to do anymore about my problems. Why canât I just shut my brain off, at least for the night? I barely get any sleep, Itâs 2 a.m. and I donât even feel the least bit sleepy. Just like last night and the night before, and the night before that night. I get four hours of sleep a day, if I get lucky. I canât function without sleep & I canât get my mind off any of my problems. I need...

It sounds like a couple of things that you mentioned are actually defensive mechanisms - have you experienced traumatic or violent things in your life?

I've been on an "upswing" with my moods- which never fails to amount to INTENSE binge urges! Argh!
I'm either depressed and able to restrict (ironic b/c I feel "best" when I can restrict) or I'm not depressed and constantly battling urges to eat everything that isn't nailed down! And then when I DO eat, I have to purge it. Sometimes I resist the purging, but the ...

"recovery" is the wrong way to think about it.
If you are replacing missing nutrients - it can take a while.
Adding too much of a good thing can cause problems. Iron, for instance, will cause internal bleeding if you take too much of it.

what do you mean by "reads"?
Are you saying the cousin told the entire family?
If someone insinuates something best to ask them "do you mean this?" and then describe what you think they are insinuating.

even when i ask myself all those questions like
what would you do if you didnt have to work for the money and rent.
if you had a million dollars
if didnt get paid what would you do
all those questions lead to nowhere.
i ask the question and try to follow to the answer in my head but i never make it there.

Ok, I obviously don't know you atall, but from your post, the main piece of advice I can give you is just to slow down, take things one day at a time. Try not to worry about all the things with your therapist. I understand about continuity etc, but the fact you can talk to people about whats going on is a huge step, and shouldn't stop you from getting better because you changed ...

Ive found it's never a great idea to be too friendly with your boss. There is an imbalance of power in that relationship & its not in your favour.
Based on my experience of work politics, your main mistake was in telling him what people were saying about him. That is a no-no in any situation because you end up being seen as a messenger of bad news. Also it will have made him ...

I too have passed out under stressful situations and wanted to let you know that your not alone. I can completely understand the fear and avoidance that comes with this. I wish I had a cure for you since I've tried cognitive therapy, group therapy, NLP among others. The only thing that has worked (when you know of a situation that is coming up) is hypnotism . This seems to work by ...

We have no free choice. We are victims of our autonomic response systems and all we have learnt in the past. What we choose to do at any given moment is a foregone conclusion, chosen by us long before we are conscious of any choice.
When you realise this, you can have free choice.

Please do not beat your self up! It took me over two months of relapsing in order to get to my measly 2 week mark today! From my experience the more time you have clean the more paranoia you will experience if you relapse. I am kinda scared to smoke again; just thinking of the anxiety makes me anxious. Delete your mans number, if you can. Ok try to have a good day and do not be so ...

If you smoke daily, eventhough at night, you are an addict, a heavy consumer. if u feel like quitting, your inner voice is wise, listen to it!!

Nobody will be able to give you a definite answer, but of course if you don't believe that, you're welcome to speculate and doubt and be confused as long as you want.

WHY is out of the question - everybody knows that. every sane person would agree that yes, you MUST kill them. it only remains to be seen HOW you're going to accomplish this.. because if you don't?... the thought for revenge will haunt you even in the last second of your life! you can't just turn around walk away and try to go on with your life.. everywhere it's the same. everywhere you ...
