I looked at that for a while. Did not like the wheels, mostly due to offset. I liked the idea more than the execution. My problem with this and the black one is in my head the new one leans heavy to the 1st gen, so 2nd gen touches look odd to me. I wouldn't do a chicken or shaker on a 1st gen firebird either. Next we'll get one with IROC stripes. Again, that is just me, purely subjective. I do think I liked this one better than the...

You are probably looking for Bob's car. It's a 69 Convert that had DSE SFC's adapted to it back when I was still at Speed Merchant (Goodies). Complete nightmare of a job

These are a couple of before pictures. Although I took tons of pics to remember where parts went, I made the mistake of not taking enough overall pics. Here are a few that I have.

Looks like a great starting point. I have one of these mapped out in my head and have been wanting to build a TA since I saw the Killer Customs Bandit TA. The wheels look great.

I found this bracket on ebay:
It's listed as an LS1 T-56 clutch slave cylinder bracket but will it work with an LT1 slave cylinder as well? Also, who's done this and does the factory hydraulic setup work (are the lines correct lenght?) in a '70 A-body? Thanks!

im not an expert, but i would be slightly concerned about not having enough triangulation. if your welds are sound its not going to break, but i would think that you'll have some deflection. nothing worse than running a centering device that still allows some side to side migration. i may be wrong since i dont remember seeing anything on the fays watts axle clamps.
do you have any more ...

I have a 66 Charger that I want to replace the steering on. I am considering the Unisteer Rack unit and an XV tilt Column. Anyone hear have any experience with a rack upgrade WITHOUT replacing the entire K frame?

it won't die until something better comes along.
And quite frankly, what could be better than making every aspect of a classic car better?

Absolutely, if I could spend time there every single day I'd be happy. I go there to relax, to rebuild, to think clearly, to let my creative side show...it's a good thing.

well, step one would be sealing up all the little holes etc. in the cabin. Then, make sure all of your seals are just impeccable.
At the end of the day, though, you still are going to have to use a ton of insulation, etc. to even get close. You have to think, luxury cars are designed from the ground up to be quiet and smooth. Old muscle cars...aren't.
