Hi mykygal.....My Mr. had a job within 30 days of getting home and kept the same job for 2 years until he was arrested in March. After the initial shock of getting out and a few adjustments, I thought he was doing quite well....until he took up with some old friends. The same ones we haven't heard from since his arrest. this is why i think in mwi relationships time is your best friend. TAKE YOUR TIME. there are ALOT of smooth talkers out there. your man may not be one,i'm just saying,to jump in with both feet is not necessarily very wise. observe things very closely. i'm a firm believer that no one can fake forever. not even a man in prison. best of luck to you!!

Congratulations on the homecoming!!
I don't know if they give them a few bucks or not.....They didn't give Mr. any when he was released, but he didn't ride the bus either. What little money was on his books was mailed to him a couple of weeks after his release. I hope someone who has a better answer comes along........

I'm not much help on the time thing....I stay so confused! Perhaps the Sept. 2010 date is his max and doesn't include any good time?? Then again, perhaps they've got it wrong.....its been known to happen. As far as PD's go, My Mr. has been in county for almost 8 months and has yet to be assigned a PD, so I'm filing for a bond reduction hearing for him. If that is denied I'm filing a Habeas ...

My biggest fear through all of this is that I won't know the person who comes out of prison. He was in his 20s when he committed his crime, and is in his 40s now. For me, the 30s were all about figuring out who I was, what I wanted to do, where I wanted to be. He spent his 30s behind bars being told what to do and when to do it. We visit, write, and talk on the phone - I do know where his head...

I am so sorry to here this and will definatly keep Todd, you and his family in my prayers. It is so hard when some one we care about is hurting, but you are right all we can do is let them know that we care and are there for them and also not judge them.

hell yea.. i would be extremely offended and feel disrespected.. if my man
does shit like that infront of me ( when he was not in prison) i grip up
his face. but he knos better then to do that kinda stuff any more.. thats
how i feel about it.. others might feel diffrently but i dont play those

Most who actually talk and listen to their loved ones have stories. Remember this though. It is prison. Guards will always do all they can to break down people, to exert control because they don't know who they are dealing with. They want to make sure they go home at night and face it, a majority of inmates are violent and have issues.
It is similar to what you experience in boot camp ...

In pa. they have food pkgs you can order twice a year(a summer pkg. and a
christmas pkg) I told him to fill out a form of what he wants,then i'll
mail it in.he told me he wasn't going to ask,but since i offered he just
couldn't turn down the thought of some extra coffee,candy and cookies....as
far as collages,i really don't know,sorry dear critter. I'm sure i'll send
him at least a couple ...

well I chose adores me. For the most part they do. My mother law and older sister in laws are thankful my hubby found a wife like me. But then theres his baby sister that is sometime'n. Sometimes she likes me then sometimes she don't. But we have 3 bebes together so she has to accept me!!!
